hello, we are trying to establish a little festival at our local pub in the south west shropshire countryside, real ales, family camping, portaloos, food ONLY £18 for the weekend, read on if you are interested:

'SEDGEFEST' IS AN OUTDOOR 2 DAY FAMILY MUSIC FESTIVAL HELD AT THE MINERS ARMS IN PRIEST WESTON

IN SOUTH WEST SHROPSHIRE SY15 6DF ON

FRIDAY 4TH / SATURDAY 5TH JUNE

PRIEST WESTON IS A SMALL VILLAGE IN A 'CONSERVATION AREA' & IN AN 'AREA OF OUTSTANDING NATURAL BEAUTY',

WHY NOT SPEND A COUPLE OF DAYS IN A BEAUTIFUL SETTING WATCHING SOME GREAT BANDS FOR JUST £18

ONLY 30 MINUTES FROM SHREWSBURY ON THE A488 (BISHOPS CASTLE ROAD)

FREE CAMPING - REAL ALE - FOOD - PORTALOOS

2009 WAS THE FIRST YEAR OF SEDGEFEST WITH APPROX 500 PEOPLE ATTENDING.

THIS YEAR IT WILL BE ON FOR 2 NIGHTS WITH SOME GREAT BANDS PLAYING BLUES, ROCK, SKA, INDIE, FUNK.

LINE UP:

'THE NUCLEAR WEASELS' a young 5 piece band from Priest Weston & Bishops Castle playing a mix of their own songs & covers from the likes of Snow Patrol, Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Wombats.

'PETE KEELEYS ALLSTARS' blues band from Bishops Castle featuring Fuzz Townshend who has played in Pop Will Eat Itself & Bentley Rhythm Ace.

'10K RUNNER' indie/alternative/rock band who played at Glastonbury 2009.

'BOOYAKA' Shropshires premier funk band - hundreds of gigs, a continental tour, support for Jah Wobble, Transglobal Underground and Ozric Tentacles.

'HOT ROD 55' influences from Stray Cats, Gene Vincent, Jerry Lee Lewis - played at the world famous Ronnie Scotts, headlined at major bike festivals in the UK.

'FIGHT THE BEAR' play a dynamic mix of Ska, Rock, Punk & Indie. Went down a storm last year - will be headlining on the Friday night.

'BLIND EYE' local rock covers band featuring 'BIG NEV' - the master brewer & owner of The Six Bells Brewery in Bishops Castle!

'COLOUR SUNDAY' four piece rock, indie, pop band won the ‘BBC Introducing’ competition (Oct 2008) & had the title track of their first album used in the marketing of an international sports brand (Puma).

'THE PEOPLES REPUBLIC OF MERCIA' are an alternative blues/rock'n'roll band from Birmingham. Influences include The Stranglers, Wilko Johnson, Edgar Broughton, The Vibrators.

'SMOKE LIKE A FISH' with an up tempo two-toned Ska-popunkish attack, Smoke like a Fish from Mid Wales relentlessly pump the off beat with groove and aggression, behind brass splattered riffs, catchy choruses and social comment. A mix of ska/punk/reggae they will be headlining on the Saturday night.

You can pick tickets up from The Miners Arms or you can send us a cheque & we can post them to you.

Please state either Friday night £10 / Saturday night £10 / or both nights for £18
