there's no doubt that pendulum are big and will be a popular choice at rockness, but they're not really up there with the previous clash headliners - daft punk, orbital, groove aramada, underworld..

if it's true that they are headlining the friday night, then that means we are still waiting for one clash headliner. i'll be at fatboy on the friday night anyway so i'm not really fussed that they're headlining the clash tent. it's good that they are having another big act on the friday night.

Was youtubing Pendulum at Glastonbury last year and Im well impressed. Went to Wiki later to read up on a little of their history and was blown away with the revelation from Gareth McGrillen.

(We) "use 13 computers during the live performances, all of which are mixing up the sounds produced by the instruments in real time."

So great to hear the mixed reactions coming through here, cant be assed with the tent tunnelling that had to be done for Daft Punk years ago but I know for f**king sure the atmosphere will be far far FAR bettter...

    • Aren't they against touring?
    • If my memory serves me right, it was the other way round - when PS 2022 lineup was released it was already confirmed that she plays Barcelona in May.
    • Cheers! And yep looks identical to Green day's scheduling
    • Reading all the feedback with interest.  If there are now 75,000 tickets officially sold, plus who knows how many more people blagging in - then on the Friday evening and Saturday in particular, it's not ridiculous to suggest there's 50,000 people at Mordor, which is a stadium gig - except with much worse sight lines, an inferior PA, and far less bars and toilets. The Thursday evening in 2022 was of course infamous but on the Friday night for Beck I was trapped about 150m from the stage, surrounded by chatters, and with no prospect of getting nearer the stage.  With hindsight that was when I realised the fest had one way or another fundamentally changed.  Also noting on Reddit that some folk didn't enjoy the Cure or Gorillaz because the sets were "too long".  In future bands may be better received if they actually just play their top 10 Spotify songs then get back off the stage.
    • Has Glastonbury already got council permission for that 5 year run?
