Eminem?

Is anyone else enjoying the irony of insults and harsh words being thrown around all over the place in a thread about Eminem?

If it is the case, as eFestivals has stated, that Eminem would be unlikely to be invited to Glastonbury because of his questionable lyrics, then I can only conclude that whoever makes these decisions is a class A hypocrite or has just heard others opinions on said lyrics and not bothered to listen for themselves (much like many on here it would appear).

Can you justify that comment?

You are a thicko. I can justify this comment by pointing to your post as evidence.

Care to show me anywhere in those lyrics where it's made clear that they're not what he believes?

Or in an interview, where he's been asked to say one way or another?

Or anywhere?

The point is that there's not one single thing that you can put forwards which can confirm the view you've decided to take. The point is that Eminem has refused to say things are as you claim that they are.

So why is your guess without anything to give that guess any substance the correct guess but Glastonbury's guess where there are things to give that guess substance (via his refusal to condemn his words) the hypocritical one? :P

ummm.... ignoring the homophobia side to things for one minute but there's another reason why eminem shouldn't play glasto... he makes shit kiddy hip hop for 12 year olds! and as for the whole pete townsend thing if you watch the film tommy (or listen to the album) i think its pretty clear that when he was writing it he was drawing on his own experiences of being abused as a child, not an excuse for downloading child pornography i know but i seriously doubt he was ever an abuser himself and the fact that the police investigation didn't lead to a conviction seems to support this

Efestivals is probably one of the most hypocritical forums i have seen.

The amount of forummers who will bend the rules to fit there own argument is quite frankly shocking and it doesn't help when you have neil at the helmet[/color fanning the flames.

You might have a point.

But firstly you'd have to tell me what those rules are that you say are being bent. Can you?

Once you've backed up your statement of (un)truth I'll put you right as to those rules. :P

    • I am as well not a fan of these side by side stages. too many people at the same places and you have always people around you who wait for the other stage...
    • If only they could get the Bits area back (and add maximum 5k capacity) the site would feel less crowded.
    • Blame it on the side-by-side setup. There are cases where it works well - got a great location in front of the middle screen for Bexter Dury-Big Thief-Little Simz, just had to move about 20 meters each time for a great location. But on most cases it sucks
    • was happy to swerve the main stages on Saturday, but thought it was fine for The Cure, we just went down the opposite side & got a decent spot close to the front, everyone into it (admittedly a bit off to the side)   a festival that now books Olivia Rodrigo as a surprise set isn't going to get any smaller, for better or for worse it is miles apart from when I was first going   personally I still find the people amazing, never have any hassle & the line ups are always so strong & diverse.  We will definitely return for the 25th anniversary next year!
    • I love this festival but Mordor has got worse and worse to the point now that I dread going there. 10 years ago there just weren’t as many people, as many bottlenecks and there wasnt the need to arrive early to have a decent spot.
