judyblue110
Well if it does happen like that, I seriously hope Glastonbury get Stevie Wonder so we can have him too. I'd say on the Saturday night. That would be awesome. And then the Sunday... The Who? Who knows... ahahaha I'm funny...
judyblue110
I just noticed that The Who will be performing "Quadrophenia" at the end of March at the Royal Albert Hall for the Teenage Cancer Trust. That's now my bet for one of the headliners, supported by Them Crooked Vultures. And since I last posted, the Stevie/Glastonbury scenario has progressed a little! Good timing, I think! tricky106
Muse would be good but not sure they would play. Not sure on Stevie Wonder, love some songs he has done but not others. Hopefully they will announce more acts either this Friday for the Pearl Jam day or next week for the other two days.

pete76
hoping for Metallica, they havent announced any show in england yet. The Who would be awesome addition. please no crap like The Feeling or Keane. suppose to be a rock music .
tricky106
Would love Metallica but I don't think they will play as the are promoted by the promotors of Sonisphere. Would love to be proved wrong though.
judyblue110
Anyone else think Jack Johnson could play at Hyde Park on the Friday? I know he played under Pearl Jam at Bonaroo in 2008 (I think...). I'm not too keen on him to be honest, but I've got a feeling it could happen. judyblue110
I think Green Day will play this summer.
Hurricane11
I wouldn't have thought so, with them playing Wembley Stadium in London just a week before. Doesn't make much sense for them to be playing another huge London date a week after.
judyblue110
When do they usually announce other bands?
staffsknot
Well there are tons of bands about this summer so it could be anyone, Stevie Wonder would be interesting. I am also skeptical about Muse playing, although it would fit with the logistics it makes no sense to play another London gig (which HRC would effectively be). I would be interested to know if The Answer were in line for somewhere on the bill as they were great supporting AC/DC. As for Metallica they are once again rumoured for Download. Personally the dream ticket would be Them Crooked Vultures, Foo Fighters and Queens of The Stone Age but there is no chance of that... judyblue110
My own dream lineup at the moment is: Friday: Pearl Jam w/(I don't really care, Pearl Jam will be worth it alone) Saturday: Stevie Wonder w/Crowded House, ... Sunday: The Who w/Them Crooked Vultures, ... I don't think that's TOO much of a "fantasy" dream, it could happen. But I'm just not sure if The Who would play it again, would they? When did they last play, something like 2006? They would need to do Quadrophenia or something to make the performance "different" from the setlist last time (I haven't seen them before mind you, so I wouldn't mind a greatest hits set! )
Hurricane11
How about Rage Against The Machine?? That would be cool

tricky106
Also RATM are headlining the Saturday at Download according to people on the Download forum. Would love Aerosmith back also rumored for Download plus the issues with Steven Tyler. What about Mark Knopfler? Still think they are waiting until Glastonbury and Download anounce their other headliners.

staffsknot
Lets all be honest with ourselves as long as they don't have an oh no second and accidentally book Lady Gaga thinking she's a Queen tribute act we'll be ok.
judyblue110
Another act I think would be great, but very unlikely due to the fact they haven't been to Europe in a long, long time are Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers. They'd be close to the top of my "dream" list. Even if it wasn't HRC they came to...

Guilt-Trip
The Gaslight Anthem's UK dates leave them free for both Glasto and HRC. June 22 - Birmingham (UK) Academy 1 (headline show) June 23 - Glasgow (UK) ABC (headline show) June 24 - Manchester (UK) Academy 1 (headline show) June 25 June 26 - London (UK) HMV Forum (headline show) June 27 June 28 June 29 - Oxford (UK) Academy 1 (headline show) After their performance last year, I can't see the organisers being worried about having them 2 years in a row! Their new album should be out that week too. Even if their not - then the chance of PJ on Fri and a GA headline show on the Sat make for a great weekend!
