It's easier going for a shower in the morning to

A/ Keep hygene levels at a good level

B/ Puff up my perm

never used them myself a mate did, said they were decent..i assume they don;'t get used much lol

but i'd guess it's best to go pretty early, like before most people wakeup , the amount of people using them will be small, but most who do would prob use them early morning 9-11am id guess

there are showers alright, 3 in fact. the greenpeace ones near the greenpeace field have hot showers, and provide environmentally friendly soap for you to use. you're not allowed to use your own toileries unfortunately, as it adversely affects the wildlife in the area. there is another one in the green fields, which is actually a stall run by someone, it's called sam's sauna. from what i understand, there's another one near the kidz field

I use the Kidz field showers every year... the quietest time is late afternoon. Early-ish morning (think they open 9am-6pm) there's big queue.

I used to get by with baby wipes years ago, but having a shower is LOVELY

I used to have a shower at all the festivals I went to...

Nowadays, I shun the showery goodness, and smell just like everyone else!

(do indulge in Baby Wipe shenanigans, however.... no sense in ignoring hygiene completely... )

Cold strip wash at the sinks in the morning with body/hair gel and baby wipes for more personal hygene is the way to do it, you can still keep a modicum of hygene standard and not have to wonder round like Stig of the Dump.

I have just ordered a £3.00 solar shower to take with me after the reading festival and waiting for showers decided on somethign else.

Bio degradable shower gel from Millets- a tall man to hold up the bucket/shower over my head- a bikini and hey presto - sorted

Fantastic wake up shower, hair wash, no queuing and then baby wipe the rest

I've never qued to shower at festivals! And I don't go at a riduclously early time or mid day when bands are on. It's normaly a 10 min job.

Although I myself can't be arsed, I think having a wash at the sinks is a perfectly acceptable thing to do.

so if you don't go at a ridiculously early time, and you don't go when bands are on.... you'll be going at peak times... thus a 2 hour queue!
