Me and my boyfriend are staying the night before the campsite opens and the night after the campsite closes in Barcelona. Can anyone recommend a cheap hotel in the centre of Barcelona? We're not sure whether to trust them charging our credit card, so we prefer paying with PayPal or something similar.

Hello all.

Me and the wife are going to Benicassim 2010 for the first time this year.

I just need a bit of advice if that's ok with you all!!!!

We have had to get a flight to Barcelona and we are staying in an Hotel in Valencia....is it easy to get to Valencia from Barcelona Airport and would you recommend a Bus or a Train????

Also with us staying in Valencia is it easy enough to get the train or bus from and to the festival each day etc????

Yep, Benicamp is the one there charging for now.. Apparently they have doubled the size of campfib.. From what i can remember about the campsite.. unless they have grown/laid a shedload of lawn.. theres gonna be a LOT of people camping on rough ground and rocks.

Im even thinking about paying the 65euro's for villacamp!

Haven't read all the thread, so excuse if I'm repeating, but from my experience last year:

- We got there Thursday afternoon, found a spot on the red earth which was fine, in fibercamp or whatever it's called. Was still plenty of space.

- get a pop-up tent. Other tents are useless on that kind of ground. Those that stayed up in the great windstorm were mostly Quechua.

- you can sleep in courtyards in the town in the afternoon - it's no big deal.

- best festival i've ever been to.

I have one question - with physical tickets, is there any need for ID etc? I bought an eticket last year, and there was (though can't remember if they checked). I'm buying a physical ticket off someone, and want to check the conditions from a couple of different sources....

They've got timings for all the acts as well on the Line-Up section, so you can see here that Prodge are on at 0100hrs and Four Tet are on at 0215hrs. You might have a bit of an overlap if they can't get Keith of the stage, but otherwise should be fine...

Its a toughie, I love the Mumford and Sons album and have never seen them before however Hot Chip at benicassim 2008 was one of the best gigs i have EVER seen. Might have to wait and see how i feel on the day.

Yeah, Temper Trap & Kasabian is a shocker too. Mumford for me but am GUTTED about missing HC. But yep, other than that, got to agree there's nothing too dreadful.

Also, anyone know whether this is the final line-up or whether more acts (albeit surely v minor ones!) are going to be announced? Would assume so as there are only 85 (and it says 100 on the site)...?
