Tickets Competitions

Just wondering, and maybe the great gods at Efests will know, if you win Glasto tickets in a competition, but already have one because you have paid etc. can you get refunded? In other words is there any point in entering competitions for Tickets, if you already have them?

what do you reckon?

Have you won some? Or just hypothesising?

If you win / have won, they will need your details, so get a friend to give you some cash and use their details. Thats all i can think of

You can't get a refund on tickets now, the deadline for refunds passed. But if you do win, put a friend's name down.

well, if you already have tickets then your reg is no longer valid so you won't be able to put that down either.

The tickets on ebay thread in Glastonbury Chat seems to be answering some of my query.

What seems strange to me is that Competitions are generally run to market an event or a product. I would think that most Glasto goers would've already got a ticket. This means that 130,000 punters are basically excluded from the competition and the marketeers are missing that audience/demographic.

Although I guess there are those that really want to go,who could not afford to pay up front and may be trying to win, but can't believe that there is a massive number of people who fit into that category (i mean absolutely desperately want to go). That leaves professional competition enterers/profiteers , hence tickets ending up on ebay or potentially not being used.

I would have just liked a chance to blag a couple of tickets one year. It would be nice if they ran these competitions earlier in the year, or somehow allowed those with tickets to enter and get refunded. Would be nice to know if Efests has an opinion.

Well, I won tickets for another festival this year. I really wanted to go, but couldn't really afford it, not along with Glastonbury (my main festival), and possibly another holiday or festival. I'm really pleased that I won tickets, means that I can go to the other festival as well now!
