for you maybe. if you read my previous posts i have given you a nice selection of videos of artists who use this to their advantage by using their free hands/co-ordination to make their show better, be this by increased crowd interaction or a controlled audio visual show.

No, it's a terrible analogy. Because neither the computer artist nor the pencil artist expects you to watch them draw. They just show you the finished article. So that's like listening to a CD.

What I've suggested is that it's less interesting to watch a person operating a sequencer, than it is to watch a person playing an instrument (be it electronic or not). And twiddling knobs to change the timbre isn't enough to make it interesting to watch.
