PRESS STATEMENT MONARCHY LIVE

SMR Entertainment Ltd, the promoters behind the MONARCHY LIVE music festival due to be staged at Ragley Hall this coming weekend (Saturday 4th July) have today confirmed that due to factors beyond their control, that the MONARCHY LIVE music festival event has been postponed.

Promoters for MONARCHY LIVE and its parent company SMR Entertainment Ltd today confirmed;

“A decision was taken today by the directors of MONARCHY LIVE and SMR Entertainment Ltd to postpone the MONARCHY LIVE music festival this coming Saturday 4th July. This regrettable decision was taken in light of the fact that the event had not sold sufficient tickets to make the event viable. The current economic climate, combined with the fact that we are competing in an overcrowded festival market has resulted in less than expected ticket sales.

The feedback about MONARCHY LIVE and the setting of the event at Ragley Hall has been extremely positive and well received. Social networking sites have been buzzing about the concept and the festival. Therefore in light of this positive response and having invested a significant amount of our own personal money into MONARCHY LIVE, we felt that postponing MONARCHY LIVE rather than cancelling the event all together, would allow further time to achieve these ticket sales and at the same time would avoid disappointing fans who had bought tickets to the event.”

Promoters of the event are currently in talks with Ragley Hall about re scheduling the festival for a date later this summer. Talks are also underway with artist’s management and agents to also reschedule their commitments.

A further announcement will be made to the media in due course as to the rescheduled date. Anyone who has bought a ticket to the event will be able to use the ticket for the rescheduled event.”

For anyone who's still looking at getting into that festival spirit this weekend, head down the road to War Memorial Park in Coventry from 3rd - 5th July.

It's a great FREE festival in the heart of the Midlands.

This years line up includes:

Idlewild

The Twang

Eighties Matchbox B-Line Disaster

Toploader (!)

Newton Faulkner

The King Blues

The Yeah You's

Go West

The Blow Monkeys

& Womack and Womack

Not bad for a freebie!
