'Exclusive' Second Headliner

I remember reading something about an exclusive second headliner that they spent a lot of money on from Melvin Benn, which lead to the expectations of Offspring...

Now, I don't think any of them can be called exclusive....

But is it Kasier Chiefs or Bloc Party?

Why the hell were either of those bands given big money...?¬!

Whos to say it was an exclusive band for only Reading/Leeds? Maybe it was a previously UK exclusive band.

Think its safe to assume it was FNM.
