I remember walking past the growler stall a few times last year and was intrigued.

After seeing those pictures, I can't wait to have one now!

Not long to go

I wasn't impressed by the Growler. It's decently filling stodge, but here's how you make your own.

Ingredients:

  • Cheapest rindless bacon in Asda
  • Cheapest sandwich baguette in Asda
  • Cheapest medium cheddar in Asda, grated
  • Chips from the chippie

Fry the bacon until cooked but not crispy. Slice open the baguette. Place bacon on baguette with some chips. Sprinkle a heap of cheese on top. Grill until the cheese melts.

It's no Goan Fish Curry, let me tell you.

Gaaaaaaaaaaaaah! Just discovered Chocky didnt re-install any of my non Australian photos from the backup when he set up my new laptop which means I have no photos to show you of:

A Tartiflette Originale - the best food on site imo

A Growler

Garlic Kitchen Mushroom Stroganoff...plate licked VERY clean!

Homemade wholemeal pizza from Cafe Tango

For some reason I've only ever found the Garlic Kitchen once in the 10 years I've been going!?! Have searched for it a couple of times since and can never seem to find it, get sidetracked and forget about it for another year. Can anyone tell me what it's near?

Go over Yeomans bridge with the jazz stage on your right, It's just 10 yards or so further than the bridge on the left hand side (I think!) on the corner of the left turn.

N10 on this map (or thereabouts)

Cheers Kohoutec...always thought it was nearer to the Pyramid Stage for some reason! :D I'll definitely be checking it out this year. YUM!

No worries, hopefully I got the location right, pretty sure I did. They do great bacon and egg baguettes in the morning, and the fresh garlic bread in the evening....hmmm :D

There was a stall at Bestival called 'Asian Grub Foundation' :D

Oooooo, consumed loads of their fine nosh at Cambridge last year, well nice, made with fresh stuff and all prepared/cooked on site. yum.yum.yum. lick.gif Veggie samosa's and chicken curry with rice and naan particularly good also chick pea and lentil dishes plus some other things I can't quite remember. Anyone ever seen them at Glasto before ? if so then definitely worthy of being added to the Jolly Fine and Well Recommended Eateries List I reckon !

Your wish is my command and all that !

Not my piccy ... or my Growler(s) unfortunately :D ... but here, for your culinary appreciation and salivation, my I present:

The Growler in all it's glory

the%20growler.jpg Mmmmmmmmmm, Growler homer%20drool.jpg

Pretty d@mn fine cups of tea also B)

Oooooo, I can feel my arteries clogging just from looking at this masterpiece of the finest Glasto cuisine available, filled to the brim with all that cholesterol goodbad-ness and lots of other well naughty stuff :)

My mate kept eating them all last year....they've renamed it the "Pauline Fowler Growler"!

It's part of my daily Glasto routine.

There are some pretty poor efforts at breakfast baguettes out there...

...I ended up with the Garlic Kitchen Egg & Bacon baguette.

Not too overpriced, and quality fairly dependent on which underling puts it together for you.

It does tent to fill a hole rather well, however. B)

Oh, and it's also fun negotiating the planks etc when it's a muddy pool around there...

what places are the best value that fill u up?

For a good answer to that question, we would have to know...

This year's prices

What food you like to eat

What food tends to fill you up

Seriously... you should just walk around, look and observe.

You'll soon come to a conclusion that suits you.

I'm always appalled at the price rises at my favourite crepe place.

Maybe this will be the year that I cry "enough!"....

(although it was even better up until last year, when one of the long-serving crepe chaps left. I used to get some freebies in recognition of my extended annual patronage! :P )

The Jamaican stall on the road to the left of the Other Stage (if you're facing the other stage) have killer goat curry and the girls there always give my mum her first plate free (because they know she's going to buy it for breakfast, dinner and tea EVERYDAY!) They do a damn fine curry and a fat old portion so seek them out!

I am a pasty fan at Glasto! They are Just so filling!
