I live very near Reading, I enjoy it and lots of my friends go. I have an amazing time and it's convenient.

I say the importance of the festival is 40% music and 60% atmosphere. If I liked none of the headliners, I'd still go, there'd be other bands, friends, things to do, people to meet. I'll still love it. Look at 2008, I wasn't a big fan of the lineup (compared to 2007) and I much prefered it.

I am 18, I have no children. I also think it's a very stupid idea to take a child to a festival like Reading.

Reading has better music and more people than smaller festivals. I've only been to one other, so I can't reall judge.

I think Reading is lacking in non-music related activities. Look at Glasto, there's so much more to do than music.

Why do you go to Reading?

Tradition (first festival me and most of my mates went to), coupled with the fact that my birthday usually falls during the festival.

Is there anything other than the lineup that attracts you to the festival?

In my opinion it's got the best atmosphere of any UK festival, police and security are more relaxed than most other British festivals of its size. Couple that with my first answer, and it's normally a case of buy my ticket in August and possibly Scarlet Mist it if the whole thing looks truly awful.

Kids?

N/A.

Atmosphere?

Best in UK, miles behind some European ones.
