this is great just!!! just on ma door step so im sure we shall make an appearance at somepoint!!!

god knows how there gona lay it out caus the beach park is kinda funny plus theres easy access to the beach so im sure there gona need to have it all fenced mega fenced off!!!

i just hope that theres not mega battles, we need something like this down our way!!!

Probably just the council throwing their weight about to get a reaction but all the same worrying for peeps with tickets....

"The council offered us the land at Irvine beach for a 'nominal' fee at first. This was thought maybe to be a few thousand pounds or so.

"But in their letter last week they asked for 50 per cent of the profits - as well as a £60,000 bond on the land. We were also told at first that policing costs would be no more than £60,000.

"But this doubled to £120,000 and the police attitude to the event seemed to harden as well. We're stunned by the council's actions."

If true getting to two weeks before the event and not having these costs already set in stone is just plain nuts.

The ticket sales would have to be seriously seriously bad to pull it this close to the event as they'll have already shelled out a fortune plus have to pay cancellation fees to bands and refund tickets....someone's gonna be down a lot of money.

see to be honest, i think that the idea of the festival sounded brill but they should just have went for a one dayer at first too see hows things went.
