tarff26
Hi everyone, new member here. I'm getting far too excited, far too early about Glastonbury so thought I'd put my energy to good use and sort out my travel plans I've been to Glasto 4 times before (or maybe 3?) and reckon Wednesday is the best day to arrive. Me and my girlfriend will be driving down from Glasgow in a journey that should take about 8/9 hours Can anyone give advice as to the best time to arrive at Glasto? I imagine the earlier the better but are there any particular times I should try and arrive before? When does the car park/surrounding area become choc-a-bloc? Every time I've been before has been train then bus, so this driving lark will be a first cheers in advance
Paul ™
If you can, travel down the Tuesday and camp nearby. Otherwise do it overnight, we did it in 2007 and took less than 6 hours... but knackers you the Wednesday. Will take you 7/8 hours doing it during the day, remember to time it right for the rush hours at the M6/M62 and M6/M5 junctions...

AldoMcD1
Drove down from Glasgow last year - worked the festival with Oxfam (my first time at Glasto!). Left home at 7:00pm on the Monday night and was on-site about 9:00am on the Tuesday. Took approx 8-9 hours drive in total. (Stopped for a sleep in Birmingham & Bath for a few hours each).
