Tipi Hire 2009 - Tipis Available to Hire From February 2nd

From February 2nd a limited number of Tipis, that can each accommodate up to 6 adults, are available for hire. The price to hire a tipi from Wednesday 24th – Monday 29th June inclusive is £800. Tipi come complete with groundsheet and raincatcher, along with free use of the solar showers and discounted use of the yurt sauna. I really can't understand this, the same company that provides the tipi's for glasto is at many of the major festivals for £400 for the same tipi!! Unreal!

£135 per person that's pretty expensive. I enquired about them a month or so ago and they thought at that time they would be about £500 which wasn't too bad. Won't be going for it now.

I got an email less than a week ago saying it was going to be in the region of £450. Why the sudden jump. I think we've probably been priced out now, great I was really really looking forward to that.

It is steep but no different to the other pre assembled offerings available out there.

So I guess they are just playing catch up.

However I doubt it would have been as much if the ticket price was included as last year.

So buy one and use it for a few Lots of festivals and your sorted.

Might be a bugger getting it through the gate though!

Last year, while we were wondering through the greenfields there was one advertised for sale, second hand for about a grand

We hired one in 2007 but then the price was £1700, this included 6 tickets but it was the same price irresecptive of how many were going. Therefore if only 4 were going the price was still £1700, at least this way its fairer.
