They have just been announced headliner for Isle of Wight Festival, any chances of showing up at reading? ive seen people saying NME stage but that would never happen...second headliner or sunday headliner instead of greenday?

that's never a hard and fast rule, it's just what any fest would like to be the case in an ideal world.

Well I know T in the park and Oxygen count, but then again I'm not sure smaller ones like Rockness do, but yeah think its a uk thing.

That was the point I was making. That TiTP and Oxygen generally dont count in the exclusivity clauses for Reading and Leeds and V. But I havent really paid attention to the IoW lineup.

yep, depends very much on the individual contract the band signs and whether or not it has an exclusivity clause.

the tent couldn't handle acts like pendulum, i really doubt it could handle the biggest dance act in the uk, their crowd was absolutely massive when i saw them (when i say massive, i mean you could see their crowd and the ian brown crowd merging into one lol).

haha, i was looking forward to the pendulum live project so much, i wish they'd never bothered and kept to the dj sets. Second album is dumbed down tripe designed to try and pull in any half hearted "dance" fans, and leaves you feeling a bit sick if you hear hold your colour and then in silico.

Still, funniest thing i've ever seen was the guy from pendulum's reaction when they played at the scuzziest shithole blackpool has to offer (Any locals that know of the tache will know what i'm on about ) , absolutely hilarious.

I was listening to some people near me on a bus the other day and they were banging on about how much Prodigys new song sounded like pendulum. I felt like battering them to death with a book about music!

think after last time they played (2002?) Liam basically said he hates playing it and will never play it again...

Where did you hear that? Because they used to be more or less a house band at Reading before 2002. And they have played V since, although they are from Chelmsford.

Yeah im sure. They definatly played a couple of times late 90s... Looked on wiki, they also played in 96. 96-98-2002 a fair amount in 7 years, authough I had had it in my head that they played a lot more than that!
