Being a quaffer of real ale as opposed to cider and fizzy lager,I was wondering what the situation is regarding tha availability of "proper beer"on site.

What is the price of the beer and stuff averaging out at? Is it silly money like other festies and does it involve bloody tokens??

Hey reni....up by the Accoustic tent, there is a large real ale tent selling many a fine ale.

Found it to be as cheap as my local. No tokens involved

I'm pretty certain that if you look in the right places then you will find it. But one thing I do know is that tokens aren't involved

Theres loads of different bars and such.

and you could just bring anything you want to drink with you and not worry - as long as no glass bottles

somewhat unrelated but do they have a variety of drinks on offer at the different bars as one i went to last year had the same drinks at each bar, and if u didnt drink any u were stuffed!!!

based on last year, Woodfordes Wherry, a very quafable beer appears at all the Bars I visited.

The real ale bar jammed packed with goodies is up by the acoustic tent.

No tokens, just cash, about central London pub prices

Sounds like the real ale bar near the Acoustic tent is where I'll be venturing to.

well the two main beers are carlsberg and tuborg prices are around 350 to 450 depending on where u go which isnt amazingly bad, tbh the best thing to do is bring less clothes and pack your rucksack full of beer lol...

bimble inn in park had good beer last year, didn't venture there the year before.

I usually pack my bag with cans of pride and 6x then mainly buy brothers.

none of the places do tokens. (which i think is a good thing) and you can get beer from all over the site. prices vary a lot because of the amount of places that sell it, but i think u can get it cheaper than at places like reading and download (as they have an arena and glastonbury doesnt)

we take our own booze too. its much cheaper.

but usually across fromt he entrance you get lorries selling crates... i cant relly remember prices so check when u go in.
