SJ121
As there are many rumours of springsteen playing glastonbury I thought I would take it upon myself to introduce any Springsteen newbies to his music. I have selected my fav videos off youtube which showcase his guitar skills as well as his songwriting capabilities, it seems as though most people only know BITUSA and there is quite simply so much more to his music, just crank some of these up if you've got a spare 5-10 mins and see if you like the bloke lol. http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=R5wUCjQJOBQ&...feature=related Because the night - 78 (Yes he wrote it lol) http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=C3vUKBOJ5sU&...feature=related Prove it all night - 78 - Passiac N.J (Great intro btw) http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=12yQfiR0C1s&...feature=related Prove it - 78 - Landover http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=nkyTHbsOamE Adam raised a cain - 2000 - MSG (Great pro shot guitar work about 2 mins in) http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=2EHG3PuXpF0 Streets of fire - 78 - Passaic http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=MMuATQgiJJM Lucky town 93 http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=3-8LUvW9qv4 Shes the one 75 London http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=yAvolRT3sX4 10th avenue freeze out - 75 london quite hard to condense 30 odd years worth of bruce tunes into a couple of vids but I tried my best, try em out if you get a chance. ampersand
well that's that then. please tell me you have also listened to 30 years of back catalogue before forming that opinion....if so then fair enough....if not then you have 6 months to reconsider... micawber
Posted this clip elsewhere but worth seeing again for Tom Morello's (RATM) guitar work http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=Sp-oDAxx8So

Messy
If Springsteen and the Kaizers are on at the same time, and there's nothing else of interest happening, then you'll probably find me in a tent somewhere with a spliff and my ipod. Anyone else is welcome to join me.

fantomas
if they are two of the headliners, maybe there's a (slim) chance of them playing a song together, a la 2004 Vote for Change tour? fantomas
Springsteen almost always brings somone on for a guest duo or jam spot with the E Street band late in his set...at Glastonbury, it's not a question of "if" he will, but "who" he'll bring. this is probably the best chance ever we'll see Bono grace the pyramid stage. tons of options tho. will be quite a guessing game as to who it will be oh.. happy new year! benisright
I've seen him loads of times, and he's never had a 'guest'. Where did you get that idea from?
Wooderson
who? when? it's very rare if it happens.
benisright
Press ctrl+f and type in guest. You should see quite a few mentions. Usually no one incredibly notable. But Tom Morello obviously played with him. As did Bruce's airplane pilot on one show (because he could play the trumpet).
benisright
tevaburger said: all I said was it's pretty rare. If he has 'guests' at his shows it's usually old friends (Elliot Murphy for example) or even family. It's not very common... a long way from 'almost always' no biggie
