OneLittleFish
Just to let you know, if anyone's looking for accommodation in Bristol before or after the festival, the Travellodge in Bristol Central has rooms going for £29 - just booked mine so thought I'd share it with anyone else looking for somewhere to have a wash and a rest before travelling home! FunkyChunkyMonkey
The missus booked me, her and the 2 little monkeys into a family room at Travelodge, Beckington under the £9 offer for the Monday after. Means we can get a nice bath, pub dinner and sleep before I haul our asses back up to the North East. That's assuming we go!!! We decided against going to New York in July to see her sis get married. Would have cost far too much so if we can get any tickets in a resale, looks like we will be there. Get in!!!

mynameisearl
me too - and oh, we stayed there last year and it was a nice quick journey down to glasto site. Pass a sainsburys on the way too so good for stocking up on drinks etc - opens at 7.30/8 if I remember rightly.
sweaver
Good stuff, maybe see you there then! We are getting a lift to the site early on the Wednesday morning so will be too early for Sainsburys opening, probably just go to the supermarket on the Tuesday night. sweaver
Very handy to know, thanks for that! Is there a pub right next to the hotel? Would be nice to enjoy a couple of pints/a bit of food in the evening without having too far to go.

Chocscoffer
For the peeps that stayed at the Old Oaks campsite last year, is it recommended to book early or, is it worth looking at staying somewhere else. The reason I ask is that I seem to recall some negatives about the site from some people although due to my crap memory I can't remember! strudders
It must be said I am going posh too, but that is only because I am a wimp and I need my beauty sleep. Loads of beauty sleep! and a shower, and a nice cooked breakfast..... However come the Wednesday I will slum it for 5 days I suppose.
