Neil Young for Friday?

I've just had some info which indicates that the Friday is to be headlined by Neil Young (which certainly fits the older male act tip I've been given from elsewhere).

However, I'm less sure of that than I am about Blur and Bruce.

Missed out on Blur Hyde Park tickets? Never fear - they're headlining Glastonbury in 2009, along with Neil Young (boring), Kaiser Chiefs (snoozeville) and - Bruce Springsteen (literally f**king AMAZING).

Its hard to say, possibly Heart of Gold would be his best known, get a copy of Decade which is a best of from Buffalo Springfield through to the late 70's. Thats probably the best place to start

yep, that's where that name came from - but it fits what I'd already been told, and having checked back on something I hadn't properly taken in, that adds to it too (so it's not just due to that mail). I'm hoping to have better sourced info somewhen soon.

ben; his stuff is generally a mix between rock out numbers and folky acoustic stuff.

Personal favourites and well knowns to check out would be

rockier/bluesier: ohio, cowgirl in the sand, southern man, down by the river, cortez the killer (slow but beautiful), hey hey my my (into the black), f**kin' up, mr soul, the loner, cinnamon girl, rockin in the free world,

Acoustic/slower: don't let it bring you down, old man, needle and the damage done, helpless, sugar mountain, tell me why, after the goldrush, mr soul (acoustic from the unplugged album), a man needs a maid, harvest, heart of gold, for the turnstiles, like a hurricane, hank to hendrix, my my hey hey (out of the blue), world on a string,

also check out some of his stuff with crosby, stills, nash & young. He probably won't play any but deja vu is a stunning album

Regards Young and Springsteen not being one for the kids, there's not many new bands ready for the slot I don't think. The ones mentioned who might such as franz and kaisers are both confirmed and strong rumour respectively so I'm guessing there could be a strong undercard in that sense unless either are other stage headliners to which the kids will be provided for aswell.
