eFestivals Posted December 12, 2008 Report Share Posted December 12, 2008 hmm never heard of sound mag, might have to google that one.. sounds was like nme, melody maker and record mirror (before record mirror became pop and glossy a4-sized) - but far far better. Sounds was without a doubt the best weekly music paper the UK has had in the last 30 years, because it didn't do the "let's make up a story cos we have pages to fill" thing that the other papers did and which nme still does now. It was a paper far more based on the real truth than hype than the alternatives (except perhaps MM, tho that was always a little too dry for me).
