Cage the Elephant also disappeared from line up on both official and myspace sites.

If this is true this whole thing is turning into a joke

They are appearing at ripcurl as well as Holloways, who by chance have cancelled

What is happening ?

I can't believe this. Another of the bands which made me buy a ticket in the first place now off! Raging! Guessing this one is not the organisers fault if the guy is injured but sill...gutted! What a joke this is turning out to be! ;)

Statement from Cage the Elephant:

“Following a recent accident back home in Kentucky Matt Schultz from Cage The Elephant has badly exacerbated a knee injury he originally sustained on the band's recent UK tour. After seeing a specialist he has been ordered to completely rest his knee to let it recover.

The band have therefore been forced to cancel a number of festival appearances and will now return to the UK in time for their appearances at the Reading and Leeds Festival in August and at Bestival in September . A new single "In One Ear" will be released on 22nd September.”

So let me get this right, bad tartan heart organisers went and injured this guys knee stopping him from playing at the festival ;) oh what a shambles how dare they yada yada yada yada.

Oh no hang on a minute that's not right, the guy injured his knee and his doctor said to rest it so they will not be appearing. Well, I'm dissapointed, but sh*t happens. Reminds me of Glastonbury 95 when Stone Roses couldn't play because John Squire had hurt his shoulder falling off his bike or something. Seem to remember I was dissapointed then but I had a great weekend and found something else to do instead, being at a festival and all. ;)
