  1. That’s a shame! Before posting that I thought I’d better check he hadn’t hung up his guitar yet but amazingly he’s still playing shows.
  2. Difficult to say, in this day and age people’s financial situation changes year to year. If someone had called me last Monday and offered me a ticket for £900 I would’ve paid it as I’ve got nothing else planned for this year, the weather was class and I knew loads of people going.
  3. Ah right, I imagine it will stay 75% sold out. Just a compete guess but there’s probably 5,000 ish people who are still planning on getting a ticket but probably just as many that have a ticket that will decide to not go and sell their ticket.
  4. Where did you see they’ve sold around 75% of tickets?
  5. Didn’t go this year but from this thread and a couple of other threads it looks like it’s slowly changing from the classic Glastonbury vibe to more of a Reading/Leeds vibe…

    2024 Headliners

Friday- Harry Styles Saturday- Taylor Swift Sunday- Green Day
  8. Viagra boys were absolutely sensational!
  9. I know I’ll probably get downvoted to sh*t for this but what really frustrated me (I’m ticketless for the first time since 2014 and bitter) was I saw someone saying they weren’t arriving until 8pm on the Friday! You’ve literally missed over half the festival, you should’ve let me have your ticket 😩.
  10. Met an Irish bloke last year who was selling 3 cans for £10 out of a bin bag by the stone circle, said he was the chef for the crew at the secret piano bar. He said just mention his name and you’ll get straight in but I can’t remember his name for the life of me!
  11. Just seen on twitter “if they slow this down anymore they’ll be headlining next year too” 😂

I’d probably pay that, how many can you get hold of? Might have to take your number ready for next year haha.

Got offered 2x hospitality tickets that included accommodation in an offsite tipi, 15 minute walk from the festival. £9,800 for the pair!

    I feel sick

In the same boat. I don’t know what to do with myself 😩.
  15. How long ago are we talking? Went in 2004 but didn’t camp, then camped every year since 2008 but I don’t remember that!
  16. Went in about 2014ish I think. Was so handy! Could be in Tesco within 5 minutes. But obviously Reading Festival decided to block it and place their own, overpriced shop there instead. £££
  17. Yeah they’re normally first to sell out. Maybe I’ve just not seen it but it doesn’t look like they’re pushing ticket sales much on social media, they’ve been very quiet.
  18. The festival is 9 weeks away and you can still get early bird tickets, weekend tickets plus day tickets for all 3 days, I can’t remember that ever happening before! It’s part of their licence now that they have to announce the festival as a “sell out” the week before the festival even if it’s not. In 2009 they announced there would be some tickets to buy from the box office on the Thursday and thousands of people turned up and it was carnage.
  19. Anyone get an email asking them to complete a survey for Reading Festival? They asked “what do you hate about Reading festival?” Have I missed anything? -The constant decline of the line ups. -Booking acts because they’re big on TikTok. -Lack of Rock, Punk, Metal and Indie music. -Getting rid of the Lock up tent. -Getting rid of the Radio One/NME tent. -Becoming the new V festival. -Two main stages. -Less bands because of the two main stages. -Ruining 30 years of legacy by being the new V festival. -Dickhead 16 year olds. -Jumped up, power hungry security guards. -Not being allowed to bring alcohol into the arena. -Getting rid of the Orange campsite entrance. -Ridiculous queues to get into the arena to watch bands that people have paid to see. -Treating the punters as customers and not fans, it’s not about providing a positive festival experience it’s about squeezing every last penny out of us.
  20. I think festivals with poor line ups are struggling. Slam Dunk put on a ridiculously strong line up this year and it sold out for the first time in ages.
  21. 😂 I gave most of it away to the lads at work tbf.
