  1. In the crowd now and they’ve nailed this. Crowd has remained enthused and the big hits have been spot on. So much better than AM last night.
  2. Just saw Sophie Turner at a stall near the bbc introducing.
  3. Mike Skinner mentioned Taylor Swift and Dua Lipa as Elton guests on his Nowhere shift last night.
  4. Big fan of the Los Campesinos football shirts on a hot sunny day. Will definitely be rocking these sometime over the weekend!
  5. We were camped in there. Water started rushing into our tent around 7am, so we dragged what clothes, bags, etc we could back to the car. By the time we returned, the water was waist high and the portaloos had overflowed into the lake. We had to abandon our tent and last few things. Myself, gf and bro ended up leaving later that day as my partner had also developed mumps overnight. But of a nightmare really. Heard later on that the festival provided those effected with vouchers for the on-site Millets.
  6. One of the new acts I’m most excited about seeing, can’t wait. The single is fantastic!

    Beer Prices

Was definetly £5 for Brothers at the west holts field all weekend, for the festival strength stuff too - cash only though so that may have been why. I guess if they've got card machines working at this bar this year, there's no issue with them raising the price to match the rest of the site unfortunately.
  8. Pretty much as said above, we were parked in Pink car park by 11am and through gate D and in Bushy by 12. The queues at gate D have been nothing after 11am the last few years. Unless you want a central camping spot, you're better delaying your arrival. We usually have a final stop at Wells Tesco, grab any last minute drinks/food before making our way via Glastonbury town.
  9. No need buddy, but very much looking forward to meeting you and the other efesters in exactly 2 weeks! Will be my first Efests meet, just have to make sure I'm still compos mentis by the evening!
  10. We've travelled via Glastonbury town the last 3 fests hoping to get into Orange car park, but despite pleeding, we always get directed into Pink. This is around 10/11am on the Wednesday. It's all luck really depending on which car parks they're filling at the time.
  11. We got to gate D around 11am for the last 2 festivals and can confirm we walked straight in.
  12. Starting to worry, only 2 weeks away and ours still haven’t been dispatched. There’s a shortage of posties in our area so sometimes we only get a postal delivery once a week so this could be cutting it fine. I also got my tickets in the resale and grouped with 2 people from Brighton, so once I get my hands on the tickets, I then need to arrange and meet them for the exchange. Last year, we had our tickets by the 25th May so it does feel the deliveries are much later this year.
  13. Think Greg James handled this pretty well, didn’t give them an easy time and the Macarena bit was a good punishment. Hopefully can move on with our lives now. 😂
  14. We're hoping to try Oxlyers for the first time this year. Usually onsite by 12pm but what chances do we have with 2 medium sized tents based of previous years experience? Thanks in advance.
  15. I know there's no pattern, but has anyone who got their tickets in the resale had theirs dispatched/delivered yet?
  16. Has the map been reverted back to the previous version on the site? Can only see v1.3 now.
  17. I know where you’re coming from. The lineup this year for me is lacking in excitement, I’m only going with a single mate (rather than our usual larger group) and leaving my wife and daughter behind. Just watched this video though and it’s brought back all the good feelings that only this festival can create. 3 weeks to go!

    Kidzfield

    No Nick Cope. I’m out!
  19. 2019 was definitely Chemical Brothers - Got to Keep On.
  20. Usually, I’d agree but we’ve had The Vaccines and Libertines in the last few years. Who knows.
  21. Bombay Bicycle Club would be a great Other opener and suit the slot perfectly in my opinion.
  22. Thanks Ben, this is great to hear. Looking forward to the meet! 👍🏻
  23. This! Does it really matter who started the thread? The objective was the same whoever authored the post, and that is to set up a time and place for the good people of the efests community to meet up at the greatest party on earth. As a meet-up first timer, I just want to feel confident that I’m going to meet good, like-minded people without intimidation and conflict. I’m fully aware @Crazyfool01 is not the owner or mod of the site but he is a big part of what makes this community welcoming and friendly. Can’t we all just get along nicely? The world is tough enough as it is.
  24. I'm planning to attend the meetup for the first time. Been on these forums for 14 years so would be great to put some faces to the names. Attending the festival just as a twosome this year so very much up for meeting some awesome new people. Managed to get my tickets through resale group 1 so looking forward to meeting with members from there also (owe @Scrumpas many ciders as he can handle too!)
