  1. I've got 9 batteries and loads of liquid which should be enough but I tend to end up caning it a bit when I'm smashed. Think I'll just take a charger plus loads of extra liquid, be prepared and all that

  2. Evening all,

Probably a stupid question but are there e-cig/vapour stalls at Glastonbury? I went in 2013 and didn't notice any but they're a lot more popular now.

Hoping not to need one but might need to top up on liquid or batteries etc.

    Cheers in advance!

  3. You can get in through a gate in the fence really close to the festival - head for Pilton Tithe Barn, walk straight down with it on your left and there's some big gates in the fence that are left open, nobody seems to mind once you're in...

Probably shot myself in the foot now and they'll have it security patrolled...

  4. I can't wait to see them - getting married in June and Glastonbury is a semi-honeymoon - we're walking down the aisle to "Steve McQueen" so fingers crossed they'll play it, would make the festival for me /slush

  5. 2013 (first and only) - Friday - got totally smashed on a opium/codeine/Valium/Southern Comfort cocktail (after lecturing all my mates to me careful with said combo) at 5pm, falling over and gashing eyebrow open then sleeping until 9am Saturday morning with the mother of all headaches. Serves me right for drinking Southern Comfort, disgusting stuff!

Luckily 2 x Tor RFC burritos and Laura Mvula in the sun cleared the hangover nicely. This year I'm going to be a little more careful...

  6. I've got 2 big cuts and a very bruised eye from what I assume was a fall on Friday night... I drank a bottle of Southern Comfort in 2 hours then passed out around 7pm, waking up at 9am Saturday morning covered in blood...missed the Arctics and Alt-J. When will I learn?

  7. I had a burger and chips from a stall next to the slush stall nearish the rotisserie. Absolutely awful, dry bread, cheese on chips wasn't melted and the woman serving was a miserable c*nt - all for £12!

  8. Also my first Glastonbury so nothing to compare it to apart from other festivals. No real gripes, it was busy but no more than I expected and I didn't find getting around too bad at all.

The only real issue I had was the lack of water points in the campsites. The queues at peak times were horrendous, we waited 45 minutes on several occasions. Granted, this was not helped by people taking 5-10 minutes to wash their hair rather than just filling bottles (probably my ultimate festival room 101 contender) but there was definitely a shortage.

  9. I saw him in the local pub - The Crown Inn a couple of weeks ago when I wandered round the site... I walked in and did a double take, I think he knew that I knew who he was and he smiled and said hello...I wandered off like a giddy school girl!

  10. Honestly, I couldn't tell you, it just looked like a couple of lazers back to back and some lights either side, nothing more but it was glaringly bright so pretty hard to make out.

Edit, just had a look at the original image and zoomed in, looks like some sort of ant or bug:
