It's not for you then. Go watch something else mate.
Trust me, I do.

Lenor bottles are a game changer. Thurs night at the last fest I woke up twice for a pee and came close to overfilling a 1.5 litre one the second time. That was a bit scary.

Sleaford Mods are a laugh. Don't think they take themselves seriously enough to warrant the hate tbh.
My problem with them isn’t whether or not it’s tongue in cheek, ironic or whatever. I’m working class from Sheffield and grew up through the miners strike, so it ain’t a class issue either. They just sound dog awful and I wish they would shut the f**k up.

Add a hosepipe with a sprinkler attachment and you’re close.

Beyond me that anyone with 100% working ears could enjoy Sleaford Mods. Accidentally walked past their sets previously and wanted to scream at them to shut the f**k up. Awful noise pollution bollocks.

Like Reservoir Dogs, but with sh*t instead of blood, I should imagine.
I got the raging shits in 2009 late on the Saturday afternoon. On reflection, probably too much, erm sweeties, cider and spicy food. When I got to Glasto Sainsburys on the way home on Monday, my stall was like that. I had no idea one digestive tract could hold so much. I had to do a mid-sh*t flush then carry on. I have Vietnam style flashbacks about those 2-3 days. Awful. Just awful.- 1

2 from 2010.
I made a copper bangle in green crafts. Never wear it but have loads of affection for it.
I broke 2 fingers playing in the efests/Wateraid football World Cup. Now have disfigured knuckles and arthritis. Slightly less affection, but still a good memory.

Tend to get packed early doors. If you’re not there with 20-30 mins to spare, you’ll be stuck in the alleyway at the back.

if we are talking talentless, mik artistik gets my vote (will be playing about 15 sets there I imagine)

No, they're funny. In the same way that Spinal Tap is/are funny.
big bottom is an absolute banger tbf, Sleaford Mods wont ever be able to get within a hundred miles of such a tune. Didnt Spinal Tap play early on the pyramid one year? That needs to happen again!
You cannot compare that sh*t to the Mighty Tap. England's most punctual band! I saw them on the pyramid and loved it TBF. One of the best comedy films ever made.

Just an observation, but as someone who plays guitar (a bit) I don't think you can pigeonhole it really. Guitars feature heavily in most genre, but when you say "guitar music" most people tend to think rock/indie/punk/metal. Don't get me wrong, I love that stuff, but I also really like soul, Motown, old school R&B and disco. They're all guitar heavy but wouldn't be classed as "guitar" music. Odd really.

I think you are all overlooking Woodsies' claim for booking the most talentless and uninspiring act on the planet in Sleaford Mods. A terrible DJ pushing awful tracks and a roided up maniac shouting over them in a midlands accent. Actually painful to listen to.

Pretty much mirror what others have said, T&C, Glasto Latino, Greenfields. All great for a bimble round.

I know all musics subjective, but the sound of that particular clip cannot appeal to anyone surely.
It was the energetic performance that grabbed me as much as anything. A quick Spotify confirms they are excellent on record even though I don't understand a word! Great riffs. Punky but also melodic.

Beat me to it. A mesmerising watch and great bluesy/rock sound.

Disappointed to see a lack of love for Flyte on this thread. In my mind they are one of the finest bands this country has produced in a long time and I'm so pleased they are finally getting to play Glasto. Avalon is a perfect stage for them and I implore anyone who loves harmony-drenched indie-folk and timeless songwriting reminiscent of Paul Simon, Crowded House, and Rubber Soul-era Beatles to go and see them. Their live shows are wonderfully wholesome.
The lead singer, Will, is Billie Marten's partner and I would imagine she will be part of their live band setup. The Deep Blue have supported them and are vocally huge fans of theirs too. The Staves are also good friends of theirs as Jess Stave and Will were housemates for a few years and she also stepped in as part of their live band a few years ago when one of their original members left.
Flyte didn't grab me whilst I was working through the acts on the poster I don't know. Gave them another listen this morning after reading your post and whilst there is objectively nothing bad about it, I remain ungrabbed. Seems very one-paced and formulaic. After 2-3 tracks, I've stopped actively paying attention and it just washes past in the background. Not for me.

In an attempt to get a semblance of fitness before G, and as an offering, I’ve started running again. 3 times a week regardless of weather. I confidently predict another scorching Glasto.

Back OT. I now have 15 acts at Avalon I’d like to see. That’s a record for a single stage. Of course I’ll miss most of them but…Bravo the booking team. And stop stealing my brain patterns.

Never tried for coach packages before. Guess this is normal then?

As it stands:
1. Avalon (By a mile)
2. W Holts.
3. Everything else
4. Acoustic
Sounds like I’m in a minority, but Avalon is brilliant this year. The only stage line up I’m genuinely excited about.

Got in for a mate about 6:20. We had 5 preferred locations for departure. I checked all 5. Sold out. I checked every other one. Sold out. Why was it letting people onto the booking page if they’d all gone?
Embrace missing out or hideaway?

The only one I missed in the last 15 years was 2017. I initially wanted to bury my head in the sand and try to escape, but ultimately I ended up watching some of the TV coverage. It was bittersweet if I'm honest as I couldn't stop wishing I was there. This might be my last G anyway, but if not and I miss out in future, I'll go on a short holiday or something and avoid it completely.
