Had to pitch in the rain on Thurs 😒 Ran in to 3DM when it tipped it down Sat - the water coming off the Big Top formed a waterfall as you went in, then started flowing back in and filing up the tent inside, water gradually rising up around our boots...

Yeah, they dont keep Glasto hours, as in 24/7 unfortunately... 😏

Went drinking with Mark right after their Bearded Theory set one year, but that's another story....

I was at top of Arena over the path from Tiny Tea Tent. We had the Dirty Daveys bar crew camped behind us (in fact we kind of got assimilated into their campsite as more arrived), who spent all night blasting 80s pop hits, singing Spice Girls tracks and doing nos...

They had to wind it up at 3am as per license. On Sun they had to turn it down too at 2am I think as well...

Ahhh, right next to T&C (normally fenced off). Cheers.

Having trouble pinpointing where the orchard is. Can anyone indicate / map? Maybe East end of railway line?

Signal was crap there - couldn't even pick up eFests or check the weather forcast. Stuggling to work today - limbs still ache a bit from 3 hours dancing to Jungle at Bimble on Sat..

I'm totally prepared to forgive them for the logistic failures and some of the noticible absences of regular things around the site (e.g. there is normally more site art about), as they had about 4 weeks from the go / no go point to deliver this festival and how they managed to pull off the one they did is pretty impressive in my book. Noticed though how the line up was basically a roll call of the Levs mates that they have known or been on tour with over the last 30 years at some point. Still, again that's a product of the short notice they had and thankfully I like most of them!

Heh, didn't see that - I think they were hidden under the piles of mud, cans, wipes and other 'debris'....

Some of them didn't have a 'flush' handle at all...

Queued for an hour. Easy to get in - tho apparently c19 lft test that expires today is not valid! Lucky my 2 jabs one had come in... Pissed down setting up at top of Arena over the road from Tea Tent.

So that would have been the third one they had held? By all accounts it was a bit more ramshackle when it first began as well?

I've worked with them at Bearded and BD in the past where they have been running it, and they've certainly been about when Ive worked Boomtown and Shambala as well I think. Was wondering whether they were still doing it as the Oxfam Festivals setup has changed quite a lot over the last few years with many old faces retiring.

Yeah, kind of remember the flatter bit at the top now. May also be a good drainage choice of it gets really wet - in 2015 the family campsite flooded....

Mine's appeared now as well so now have two passes for them to chopse from!

Does Arena campsite fill up almost instantly after the site is opened - assuming its the most popular still (I last went to BD in 2015).
