Couple more suggestions for the month:

    Jen Butterworth (Woodland)

    The Mary Wallopers (Maui Waui)

    Ralph McTell (Woodland)

    Destroy Boys (Meadow)

Really hoping for the Mary Wallopers, i've convinced myself so much, that i'll be disappointed f they aren't playing

A lot of he said / she said between Itch and former partners.

I've no idea who's "right" though.

cheers, ah i'd no idea, he did have some new members in the band, they were great to be fair, shame if some snideness has gone on.. im in my own world most of the time

To be honest, I'd imagine most festival promoters are still going to be slightly wary about booking them for a while yet. Regardless of whether the allegations stand up to scrutiny or not, as long as they're out there then the easier option is to not get involved.

    What have i missed?

Filled it in a couple of days ago. My head is still firmly implanted up their arses I gushed that much 🤣

I'm another who also mentioned about bringing your own booze as an answer to the question about what may make you not attend. Increased capacity, increased security and police presence and booze... would totally change the demographic and vibe

    Haha, same

    Heck, a 5 day Bearded!!

    I said doing 2  a year.

Ha, its what we all need. let you in Wed after 12, can set up and chill out catching up, no need for acts to be on. then Thurs free all day to roam

I was saying to me pal about 2 a year the other day, but would it take away the specialness? i'd give it a go though.

Lets hope they take both our comments on board 🙂

Still coming to terms with how good that festival was. It's my favourite ever of all the festivals I've done at home and abroad. It was perfect. I'd like to see The Mary Wallopers there next year but that's my only real suggestion. I know the bookers will get the rest right.

Totally the same for me, such a great festival, what a weekend, same lovely people, no drama's, just fun. Woodland issues sorted, big Ed was a good addition and looked mega.

Amazing line up, just proper buzzed the whole weekend.

+1 for the Mary Wallopers next year too, seeing them in New York in October.

Paul Heaton Beautiful South Sunday Pallet headliner next year, think that would be perect.

Whoever's there, I will be back again, this year was my 10th and i cant wait for the next 10

    Hi Guys,

Finally bit the bullet (better late then never right!) First time for us this year.

On the electricity point, I'm a vaper so do you know if there are any portable chargers for hire/rent on site? EOTR has previously had chargers which you can rent for a couple of hours to charge phones etc. Do have a couple of power banks but not sure they'll last the full weekend.

    Thanks

    You'll love it

there was a tent, i'm sure last year maybe, where you could leave your vape and get it charged, cost a fiver i think, then go back and collect it later, if you have a spare one, its really handy. I used it before.

Hope you enjoy your first BT

Work needs to do one now, i'm ready to finish and get me stuffs together. Work is getting in the way

Just decanted some rum into plastic bottles (Kraken Black Cherry and Red Leg Spiced) these go in the freezer to act as "cool blocks" for the mixers, pre-mixed G&T and beers.

Need to start packing I guess. Yesterday I did a tent check (always worry that a mouse has had a go at it as it's kept in the garage) and reproofed, not that we need it THIS weekend.

As this looks like my only festival of the summer I'm determined to make the most of it. But the clashes or potential clashes are insane. I don't think there will be many problems with access to Woodland this year just from the acts listed (Peter Hook was far too big an act for there) and I think a lot of acts that would have played there are now on Meadow.

So you decant the booze, and put in the freezer till Thurs? I've never thought of that, and it works? you use a cooler bag to carry it in with?

I'll probably do it just before I leave work at 5.

I hope one of the updates will avoid Gaz Brookfield clashing with Billy Bragg.  Extremely difficult choice!  I've seen both loads, love them both, they are both at Glasto anyway but still don't want to miss either!

Yes, this is massive for me too. pretty cross about it, haha, also dont want Gaz clashing with Elvana either

The Cocktail Bar is the other side of the path (as shown on the map in the corner of the new Earth Area) and Killing Moong (didnt know the name) was indeed the 'straw bale' regular bar..

ah yeah, thats it, cocktail bar was other side.

Loved the straw bales, shame about the carling

  11. 13 minutes ago, Nobody Interesting said:

Not sure, I know there was a bar there last year but no idea what the name was - it may even have been the cocktail bar last year.

Actually it might have been called cocktail bar, i remember it sold carling, urgh!

so is the killing moon a new bar? just for Echo and The Bunnymen..

Still a long way to go to be sure...... but all forecasters are showing Thursday to be settled and pretty much dry (not that warm though on some forecasts) but at the moment the BBC is seeing the weather front that was going to cross Saturday some time vanishing.

It all looks far to good - so lots of praise to the old weather gods needed still me thinks.............. but for now I call a very very very big STICK.

Had a pop at putting Meadow onto last years layout:

Do you reckon that's roughly where it is?

That was a "Food Area" so those stalls will distribute elsewhere easily enough I guess.

Why don't i remember the Holy Goat Bar?

Yeah...looking at BD line up can't see any clashes at all so will likely just be plonking me arse by the main stage for 3 days. Much more relaxing!

I hadnt looked at BD's line up really, just had a quick mooch, i likes it. I can never make that weekend, so have never been, would love too, with the Levs being my fave band and all.

  15. 13 hours ago, Nobody Interesting said:

and as a result of watching them live at Blookstock in 2021 Sunday now looks like this, and this is without the smaller stages! Nightmare.

    Yes lad!!

haha, adding to clash central Sunday

I need to stop listening to playlists, not doing me any favours

Sunday is a nightmare and I made it worse by taking some time to listen to Convoy Cabaret and Magical Sounds as well - the colours mean stuff to us but I think the amount of colour shows the Sunday clash nightmares!image.thumb.png.21b37a12138a351107206ac8c2cd53b3.png

Haha, I thought my Sunday was bad for clashes.

You have forgot to highlight Skindred though dude

That's a song Opus Kink who are playing in the Woodland on Friday afternoon. So many clashes. I'm beyond excited.
