  1. 😬. One of my must sees for the festival. Whilst her recent record didn’t reach the heights of golden hour, it has some great moments (good wife; cherry blossom; justified; there is a light). Plus high horse would kill on the Pyramid.
  2. Would love to see him on the farm. 99.9% is such a jam. Liked Bubba too but it’s tainted in my head for being associated with the Tories getting a massive majority.
  3. Hoping there’s more UK dates to come for Hot Chip. Otherwise labelling it a UK/EU tour is a complete pisstake.
  4. She’s got some pop bangers outside of that very provocative EP:

    Dua Lipa

Impulsively pulled the trigger on a pair of tickets on Twickets. The reviews have swayed me. Sounds like it’s going to be a fucking party.
  6. A DJ set would be much appreciated. Fairly sure they played Arcadia in 2011, but missed it due to my friend having a complete meltdown.
  7. My controversial take is I’d never take my kids to Glastonbury (if I have any). Festivals and kids seem like a nightmare at the best of times and Glastonbury is intense. I think I’d relish the escape away as a parent.
  8. Frankly at this point I’m suspecting him to stick his head out of a long drop mid shit.
  9. Setting off hundreds of Chinese lanterns on the Wednesday. Utterly shit for the environment but it was beautiful to see.

    Wet Leg

Clocked that also on a first listen. Sailing very close to the wind with that one. Album is pretty light and fun on a first listen, but nothing particularly ground breaking.
  11. Was at this last weekend. Not usually my stuff at all, much more of a standard house/techno kind of guy, but she was great. Played an hour but that was about right. Also caught Overmono who are destined for big things. Played mostly their tracks or remixes. Had a mini moment with my mate after they closed with their for those I love remix. Emotional stuff.
  12. You genuinely bring a good energy to this place with all of your enthusiasm and love for the festival.. I know you have some run ins from time to time, but I’ve always felt that you mean the best and post with good intentions. Unfortunately Neil does not feel the same way, which I think there is widespread disagreement with. Hope you decide to stick around but understand if you need a break.
  13. The energy of this thread today:

    Wet Leg

This has completely blown my mind. Did not realise she was Rhain also, which seems utterly dim in hindsight. Seen her several times supporting and playing with Plastic Mermaids. She’s got a brilliant voice which is somewhat underplayed in Wet Leg.
  15. A solid 45 minutes of bangers on the other would do me just fine sir.
  16. There’s definitely a case to be made that the festival needs to evolve or die. Being stagnant just isn’t an option. Emily has obviously been a huge factor in pushing the festival forward and hopefully that will continue in the future with other Eavis’ picking up the baton. As I get older I don’t find Glastonbury any less appealing then I did when I was 18, but we’re all outliers on this forum and music obsessed compared to your average punter. So there’s always going to people somewhat left behind.
  17. Going to pixies tomorrow and FJM on Sunday. Very excited for both!
  18. Sharon Van Etten has a big Glastonbury sized gap in her tour dates. https://www.sharonvanetten.com/tour Would love to see her on the farm. Her last tour was sensational and probably the best I’ve ever seen her.
  19. Thanks. Was looking at one of the other dates so not sure if there’s a link for those?
  20. Anyone got the presale code and link for the self esteem dates?
  21. Roisin Murphy was my first gig back after lockdown and she killed it. The record is amazing but live she takes it to another level. Something More is my favourites from RM. Got a real vibe about it.
  22. Had to zoom in on that photo in work to read the dates and now the whole office thinks I’m a perv.
  23. Lovely to see this thread bursting into life. I’m going to one of the 6 music festival nights this week with Overmono, Sherelle, Elkka, Afrodeutsche and… Tom Ravenscroft . Preceded by Pixies, Idles and Lucy Dacus. I’m considering it my festival warm up. I need to make sure I’m still up to it after a 3 years absence from a Glastonbury sized night out.
  24. I’ve also been considering this but after seeing them previously with a chronic hangover I recalled it was not an enjoyable experience. Too many woozy guitar solos for my fragile head and mental state.
  25. Managed to get two lots of tickets between about 15 of us. Pretty decent ratio. Just seen the water bottle posts though; what a kick in the bollocks those emails are.
