  1. If you aren't arriving until the Thursday I'd definitely recommend going for 3, 2 man tents over 1, 6 man tent. Space is becoming more difficult to find as more people choose to arrive on the Wednesday as early as possible. I camped up at Baileys in 2019, arrived Wednesday around 12pm and there was lots of space. People where able to find pitches right up to the end of Thursday night in and around those fields. Come Friday it seemed a nightmare! Location for me was good, never felt too far from anything and hitting Arcadia on the way back up always helped break the journey
  2. Best two days on site. I always start the Wednesday with a full walk around the site trying to visit all the areas that have changed from the last map. A few beers/ciders on route and a finish off in the park waiting for the opening. Generally knackered by around 12pm but there's no point going to bed as its the one night everyone sits up until stupid in the morning. I've spent many a Wednesday night by the tent talking to neighbours who (due to different festival time tables) I never see until its time to pack the tent away again!
  3. No problem for me. Hope it adds a few Pennies more to the pot!
  4. spoke to my daughter who's part of their extended team (PR etc) and she's very confident tonight is going on. She's promised to let me know if it changes.
  5. took two NYC virgins in 2019. Watched first half of Stormzy then went over. queued for 30 mins then in. Both my mates were approaching 50, both male and heterosexual (as am I) they found it very edgy and intimidating. I love the madness of the place and in truth its the only club I go too! I would be delighted for it to stay as it is and if anything get darker. I loved the Lost Vagueness theme from the mid 2000's and would love to see some more dystopian inspired micro venue's which are both visually and auditory stunning
  6. I was stuck in the middle of the tents for Rag and Bone man. His crowd was insane and the sound quality awful. The only worse crowd for sheer volume was Rolf (let me have feel) Harris on WH
  7. Doesn't surprise me. I've a global job and did travel all over pre covid. That's changed especially for US travel. If I want to go anywhere outside of Europe I need approval from our Executive Committee. It's not worth the hassle or the attention! Same for people coming this way
  8. i work for an American company and i can definitely confirm that Covid remains an issue. We are cancelling more events now than we ever did in the first two years of the virus
  9. I'd quite happily wait until the week before for the line up. The festival is the draw and the music a fabulous addition! In fact I'd prefer looking forward to it more! I am also the type of person who will leave a present until the day its due regardless of when its given, enjoy waiting for the surprise and will happily be patient! I do appreciate that this makes me slightly strange. (drives my misses insane as she can't hold her own water!)
  10. I had my first proper Glastonbury dream last night about not being able to find my tent nor my car. Even in the dream I wasn't that stressed thinking i can survive the festival without my tent! I then remembered I've a campervan for this year so all good 😀 I do love a good Glasto Dream! Oh, and i've also booked my leave!
  11. Will take any direction needed to make sure it happens this year. With a £3m loss last year I’m sure they will be desperate to get it up and running. Other festivals proved last year that it is possible to put on safe events. I definitely think we’ll have COVID passports as a requirement
  12. Good to be back. It’s like a Christmas miracle
