  1. Hadn't heard of Easy Life before but really enjoying them. Will be a great early Pyramid set, lets hope the suns out for them. Also i never really got the Blossoms, thought they were just more indie landfill which i am pretty much over, my age probably, but really enjoying their new album and it's got me re listening to the old stuff. I'll be watching them for sure. Love this time of year for discovering stuff i'd not listened to before, some have become faves over the years.
  2. We have always tried to get into Kidney Mead. Getting there early a must, queueing up at about 4am. Easy access to Pyramid and track leading to food and main drag towards West etc. Also not far to go if you manage to get through Gate C.
  3. Amazing the amount of disrespect by calling Elbow ' fodder', but hey ho horses for courses etc.

    Glastocast

Just listened. Nice pod, good to here from Glastothingy off twitter. Keep them coming 👍
  5. We don't take Beer or Cider anymore. In 2010 i brought a 20 litre barrell of cider. We didn't drink it due to the heat though we tried but warm cider not the best. This year we'll be taking a box of Wine, bottle of Pimms for D Ross and a bottle of Spiced Rum. Best to but any beer or cider.
  6. Yeah fair enough. Though i guess there will be some in the crowd trying 😄
  7. +1 for this, she was amazing in 2019! I know Jamie has his own stuff but surely some Liverpool songs thrown in?
  8. I have to agree, very strange stage for her to be on. It's not that big. If nothing else is on thats where I'll be. If anyones not heard her she is amazing. Her set in the Avalon 2019 was brilliant. An amazing voice.
  9. 2009, my first festival on the Sunday. Went to Avalon to watch the mummers. Pretty wasted from the weekends festivities, a lovely sunny day walking across a body strewn West Holts field to the Avalon tent. They sang a song called ' This is Heaven', which pretty much summed up the place for me and the weekends emotion brought on by euphoria and most probably drink had me sobbing. Was straight on the phone to my Brother babbling enthusiastically saying he had to go. Consequently its his 6th and my 8th this year!
  10. May 1st. It's started. Got my airbed and sleeping bag, pegs, tent etc dowm from the attic. Started making a pack list.
  11. Only the last hour printed off a pack list. 8th year and i always forget something! 2019 forgot cumfy shoes and only too new walking boots and wellies and sandles!
  12. Earlier was listening to Fontaines new album. Just sat here outside work waiting to go in ( late duty 😒 ), right now listening to Powder Blue by Elbow
  13. I've never seen Fontaines live. A big fan, missed them in 2019 ( don't know where I was!! ) , and work commitments haven't allowed me to see them at gigs. This is going to be my chance and will not be missed. Loving the new album! Surely they have to headline the Park, anything else is a travesty. But is the Park too small?

    BBC coverage theme music

What about - Elbow- What am i without you
  15. Yola, Rag n Bone man , and Michael Kiwanaku all touring in uk and have holes for the festival
  16. Michael Kiwanuka has a Glasto hole in his tour dates as well. A festival fave surely has to show up given his performance on the 2021 online show. Yep much more to come folks
  17. Rag n bone man is touring here and has a gap from 17th to 26th June. I would imagine he would turn up somewhere? A big name that i would have thought would have been on the first poster?
  18. Yola has two dates booked for Koko in London in July. I would be suprised not to see her in June. She was on the Avalon in 2019. Brilliant recent album and shes great live, amazing voice and a local lady.

    Glastocast

Excellent, I've listened to all of these from two years back. Missed it in the build up. In my Podbean follows so will look forward to it 👍
  20. The minute i saw that Gerri Halliwell was married to Christian Horner meant i disliked her more. Ues they've got kids and no i didn't know that, why would they, never followed the Spice Girls or Red Bulls private lives. But in despising Christian Horner it makes them the perfect couple! I'd deffo be somewhere else. And they wouldn't miss me either .
  21. I think Yola will be announced on the second run of names ( hoping anyway). Shes doing Rokslide on June 30th and two UK dates in July. Saw her in the Avalon 2019. Grammy nominated and surpised she was not on the first list. Seems natural gradualation from Avalon to West Holts 🤞
  22. Ok cool, decent slot i guess
  23. Really looking forward to ( hopefully) seeing Celeste on the WH. Most likely mid afternoon i reckon or a sunset set which would suit. Already confirmed for here but reckon Avalon headline would have been best. Step forward the next female star
  24. I am happy with the initial poster, but remembering that that there is so much more to come, you cannot evaluate the ' line up' from just this first shot. Appreciate the poll was on this only so gave it an ' it's ok '.
