  1. Top of the list is my Mankini for the hot weather 😛
  2. I've made a list and printed it out. I am off work from the 18th giving me plenty of time for Last minute shopping and packing. Have brought stuff down from the loft in a pile. The list is a great remembering tool. Obviously you have to remember to put the thongs not to forget on the list in the first place 🤣

A nice article. I am really torn right now. My mind is saying that PC is surely too old to be able to carry this off as i've been told he can't sing anymore, my mate is telling me, ' come on when will you ever have the chance to see a Beatle'. He is a fan of course. As a 60 year old i have been brought up with the Beatles around me in my early years. Was a big fan of the Rubber Soul and Revolver albums but always leant towards Zeppelin and Genesis ( early years) when Wings came about. I am sure it will be a great occasion and after a few drinks the size of the crowd all singing along to hey jude and let it be might be more awesome than watching it in the acoustic with the Bootlegs or in a bar in Liverpool.
  4. Indeed, tbh i didn't expect the older age bracket of 50-60 to be as high as 17%. I only just make it at 60, but when the festival comes around i could easily feel like a 30 yo.
  5. Yola is apperently ' The Queen of Country Soul' in Nashville right now. Check out her stuff, a lot of Country style songs on offer.
  6. As many that have replied i pencilled in Primal Scream as my Friday headliner. They were rank awful sub Stones but i think Billie had the right hump that night and just went through the motions, he knew people were there only for the Stones. I think the JP will be totally different though and having missed Screamadelica on the Other over a drenched boring U2 i am convincing myself this is where i will be. Yes it will be rammed and the more quieter singalong in the acoustic and real ale bar and PH&JA is a realistic fall back if its too crazy over there.
  7. This, torn presently. Had penciled in Primal Scream but with trepidation after the sub Stones gig. Gutted however i missed them do Screamadelica on the other whilst not enjoying the U2 experience. Think JP ' could' go off. PH&JA is a good fall back however with one of the best bars in the field . Listening to a best of Primal now, when they are good they are bloody good. ........🤔
  8. Great, thats a game changer, two headliners in one night, Billy bonus .
  9. Blimey, ok ta. That'll please one of our crew if true
  10. What time does the Leftfield headliner finish? 11?
  11. For all of us oldies out there, just go an see Yola on Sunday 😉
  12. Great band. Was given them to follow off this site about 2 years ago
  13. I have no idea, got the tip off the footware thread. Tbf plasters were useless for me in 2019 so if it does its £2.50 well spent!
  14. Bought Zinc Oxide tape, ref Festival footware thread, grest tip after my foorware mishap in 2019! Just going out for a long walk before off to work. Part trying out trek shoes/ boots that have been inactive for about 5 years!! Part fitness.

    😮 possibly 🙏?
  17. Was hoping he would have been there this year, still might, maybe a West Holts surprise, but would have thought he would have been on the first poster.
  18. I can confirm my flip flops are very dry 😁
  19. I can't beleive this thread has sunk down to page 3! Looking at Accuweather for Shepton Mallet this morning and its all looking rather good at the moment, say it quietly but only some thunder and rain on Wednesday night and wall to wall sun from then on. Obvs sure to change though. 😛
  20. Yep, starting to hit home now! Got to service and MOT the car a week before, gotta pay for that and find my spending money. Gonna be tight aint gona lie. Waiting for expected funds to come in in time is a little worrying but we have time.
  21. My brother who is the top organiser should do it for a living, is trying to plan a route to gate B (?) , at the top of Big Gound for easier access. Don't think you get much choice though? Don't fancy lugging our cart up the hill from C to Kidney mead although getting there is better than leaving.
  22. Brilliant, happy for you Scrippit. Nice to have the excitement two fold in the same house. Funny my brother who is 54 is the one having trouble trying to explain to his daughter what to expect as her first time. I don't think she gets it yet, says she is starting to get excited. Got let down as we got the ticket in 2020 and obvs she couldn't go and the line up not having bands she knows a lot. I laugh at this, she dosn't know whats coming.
  23. The Dawg could be me! Also 60yo with missus who really dosn't get it and would never be seen dead at a festival. I always go with a mate and this year I've got my brother and niece ( her first time ) to obsess with on Whatsapp and with you lot on here. The festival is my relief valve from daily reality, it's been missed sadly. Fever pitch starting as shit gets real.
