  1. Wondering if there’s a delay/hold up too. Car parking tickets have gone from 50odd% to 72% dispatched today. Whereas Glastonbury tickets have been stuck on 54% for almost 2 days now and it’s not moving. It probably doesn’t mean anything but it’s like being stuck in a traffic jam on the motorway when you’re in a rush. I’m fine if the traffic keeps moving, even slowly, it’s when it comes to a dead stop.
  2. Don’t know why I keep looking in here. The sheer doom and gloom in comments is harrowing enough.
  3. Thanks. Don’t know why they like doing this to us. The anxiety they’re causing. I know we all have tickets but their lack of contactability (just fill out a webform and wait) with so little time has got me on edge. If I have to collect at the box office that’s going to cause another nightmare with the queues and possibly losing out on where we normally like to camp. I’m sure in other years they’ve used DX too, wonder why the switch to Royal Mail. I need to stop obsessively checking my inbox.
  4. This is another awful thing to come from the pandemic, the loss of physical tickets. Not to mention still having to pay an extortionate transaction fee for an e-ticket.
  5. 2019 was like a dream (minus the parking stewards always sending me to purple/yellow instead of the holy grail orange - it’s like they watch me coming flagging cars to the right then I arrive and they change it 😩). Left around 2am on site by 4am-ish. Joined gate A queue by the cattle grids. And waited for the gates to open. Not a clue how this year will be. Will everyone turn up early having been such a long wait? Will there be added traffic queues due to train strikes. I don’t think I could leave any earlier needing to try and sleep, not that I get any sleep anyway, but it’s on the cards.
  6. At what point do we start becoming worried? Do they normally cut it this fine? I'm hearing rumours that some people at download had to have e-ticekts as they were never dispatched on time, and Glasto is currently only on 54%. It's not like they've had 3 years to prepare for this is it 🤦‍♂️
  7. Any good for sleeping in? I got some normal earplugs I use for gigs but the internals are plastic and if I sleep with them in I wake up with a sore ear so was looking for something better this year
  8. Something definitely doesn't seem right with mine then 😂 we have the 4.1 Fresh&Black - I just had to double check that they didn't send us the wrong one but it's definitely showing as the blackout version. Even in the corner of the bedrooms there was loads of light coming in. The door was open slightly here so it's a bad photo but you can still see the light coming in from the corners underneath the tent.
  9. Done a trial run yesterday and maybe because I hadn't zipped the outer door completely shut (although I can't see it making massive improvements even if it was as the light was coming in from all angles) but I was a little disappointed in how dark it was. I had a coleman blackout tent last time but it sadly broke (returned it and got a refund thankfully) but it was a lot darker and it felt cooler inside compared. I do love how tall it stands though so that's one plus, and I'll try camp with the door facing away from sunrise. It is what it is.
  10. Kind of glad I sold my weekend two ticket now but I do hope they manage to resolve things for people going. What kind of bullshit is that not allowing food vendors to sell soft drinks and water. They just seem to have gone fully corporate. What's with closing off the bridge for VIP. Who's running their social media 🤦‍♂️
  11. Tent arrived. Only free day I have before now and glasto that I can put it up for a test run was tomorrow. Weather was showing sun all week. Of course it's now saying it's going to be pouring down all day 😐😐😐
  12. That sucks, wonder why they've reduced it.
  13. I was lucky with mine and must have bought one of the last ones from Next. Strangely they are shipped from Decathlon anyway but cheaper on Next.
  14. Cheers for the heads up. Was about to buy it from Decathalon this weekend so lovely little saving that, thanks!

First time ever I'm out. Can't justify those prices. The steady rise has become a bit of a joke now but this takes the biscuit. Also what's with them selling early entry tickets for £150+? I thought things like this would be against their ethos. Seems not.
  16. I know I'm going to cry. Being in that field. Surrounded by people. The hustle and bustle. As soon as the first band I see plays even the hint of a sad/emotional chord progression I'll be completely overwhelmed. And I'm all for it.

So sad about the blues going. Saw a pic of how the new set up looks at another festival and just looks like a small stage in the middle of a field. The blues had so much character and loved the stage design, was like another world and felt enclosed and intimate. Appreciate everything has to evolve but sad to see this going 😞
  18. Camped with a group in 2016 from here and it was still hands down one of the best times I've had there. I've camped with friends since but if the opportunity ever arose again to go solo I wouldn't hesitate to join them again. It was great always having someone back at the camp no matter what time you ventured back and there was always someone heading off to see a band you wanted to see so you always had someone to tag along with.
  19. First time and not sure I'd hurry back to be honest. Saturday felt like there just wasn't much on for me but in contrast Sunday was packed out and missed half the band's due to clashes. Just a shame they couldn't split it better but suppose logistically not their fault. Couple of Sound issues in the Big Top on Sat too so everything was pushed back and meant I had to miss even more. It's a massive trek from Warrington Central and to get in to the site you have to go right the way around which was a bit shit. Queues for food on Sunday were insane, some had about 50 or so people in. Same for the toilets all around the site at certain points. No queues at the bar which was a plus. Generally people were nice but had my mood killed on Saturday waiting for the toilet with my girlfriend and some women behind were shouting to hurry up when she was in there. Then they started commenting on me waiting and I said I'm waiting for my girlfriend but I am going to go as well. They started shouting abuse at me saying to piss against the fence, I said I'm entitled to go like everyone else that's queued. I said for a joke I'll be extra long now and the bloke with them said "you fucking won't I'll push it over". Just hate self entitled pricks like that. Kind of ruined my vibe at that point and I couldn't get in the mood for James. Much better crowd on Sunday thankfully. Also it was a shame to see the main stage not have any delay speaker stacks. You had to get right up near the sound booth to hear anything really. Sound could definitely do with improving next time.
  20. Has anyone done the train out of Warrington Central after the festival? Can I expect mega queues? Could only get a hotel in Manchester so only really have the option of the last train back. Thanks
  21. Really enjoyed that. Didn't notice any issues with the sound to be honest from where we stood. Echoing others though toilet queues were shockingly bad in some places. Not sure how hard it is to get adequate toilets in place. Forgot how expensive festival food was, £5 for chips, mind boggling. Not sure anyone else had issues entering with festiticket? We got held up a bit as the scanners wouldn't work. Otherwise great day out. First time in a while I've been to a festival with so little time hanging about for acts, felt like it was back to back all day on Monday.
