  1. But the issue is too much traffic on the main sale.
  2. I'm not saying it should happen, and didn't mean it in a way of pricing people out, gigs are already doing that to many people by their own means. Just more so I know a lot of people only get a ticket on a whim in the main sale, purely waiting on the line up. Which brings up the question should the line up come out before or after ticket sale. If it's bad tickets won't sell, but if it's good it would make the problem even worse.
  3. Probably not a very popular opinion but I often think how it would be if they binned off the £50 deposit and making tickets full price in first release (still with the option to cancel if needed later on before resale). I know it would certainly ease up some demand and put a lot of people off. I know a few groups who only bought a ticket for the sake of it and don’t have much Intention of going but the deposit scheme is what lures them in.
  4. See a lot of people saying this but Ticketmaster is on a whole other level of bad. Got kicked out of Ricky Gervais tickets the other week 3 times after getting through their 'queue'. And demand for that show was a lot less than Sunday's tickets. I think it's the same people who want a ballot, people without tickets, not really thinking it through that no matter what website or ticket platform is introduced supply will always be outstripped by demand and there would still be people without tickets.
  5. I thought the whole point of the 20 second queue page was to keep the traffic limited. The site should be able to handle the amount of bookings processing. Was a shit show today. Thankfully we were lucky but I didn't get past the 20 second queue page. The person who got through got kicked out 3 times on the payment page before being successful. Things like that shouldn't happen. Really feel for people getting that far and not getting through.
  6. Not to mention a ballot system would attract even MORE people trying just for the sake of it. Only issue with the current system as others have said is SEE need to make their system more robust that once you're in you're in.
  7. Ballot system would be the worst idea imaginable. So many people flouting the idea on Twitter. Ticket day is bad. It always has been. Not everyone is going to get tickets but think they will. At least you know you have somewhat of a chance with the current system however small that is. You would have no control over a ballot and it would be pure luck - you could theoretically never ever go again.
  8. Felt horrible this year. Worse than others. Didn't see past the 20 second queue. It would allow me to refresh it 3-4 times then freeze count down to 1 and freeze again. Felt like I was blocked in a fake queue on times.
  9. £70 to stand is a piss take. Especially in soulless echoing great big hall arenas with £7+ pints. Really really hate how expensive gigs are becoming. Will soon become £100 standard across the board 😞 Not really sure band's/promoters justify it for one band and a support when a tenner or so more gets you Reading/Latitude day tickets. Granted this year's prices might increase from 2022 but would still be better value for money.

Must have complete opposite tastes to everyone here. Loved the other two singles but really can't get in to this new one at the moment. Maybe it's a grower.
  11. Lottery would be even worse than dynamic pricing. At least it almost feels like I have some control over trying to get tickets at the moment, despite the pricing. Lottery could see me never attending a show ever again based purely on luck.

Very true. Missed that when rushing through the booking. doh.

Can we all just commend See tickets and their reasonable fees. So glad they done the pre-sale and not ticketmaster. Only 1 x £1.50 transaction fee. If it was TM it would be delivery charge for an e-ticket, transaction fee, booking fee, fee just for the hell of it fee.
  14. Lathums last night in Bristol. Incredible. Was gutted they weren't at the festival last year. New song sounded proper good. Band's definitely going places.

    Sam Fender

Not to mention he smokes a lot of weed. Nothing against it, smoke it myself (rarely these days) but I know first hand what effect it can have on some people's mental health. Coupled with a relentless touring schedule with his very fast rise to popularity is a recipe for disaster.
  16. I've been doing quite well myself. Not bought a ticketmaster ticket in 4-5 years. Thankfully everyone I've wanted to see have been through Dice or SeeTickets/GigsandTours. Most gigs are to be fair and you'll rarely find tickets ONLY being sold through Ticketmaster in the UK.
  17. Wish people voted with their wallet and just boycotted TicketMaster. Absolute shower of shit company. Their fees are one thing, dynamic pricing is on a whole other level. If there's anyone I'd love to see go bust it's them. But won't ever happen sadly 😞

    Arcade Fire

Didn't the singer from Nothing But Thieves receive similar allegations a few years ago and the images of the conversations were all over Twitter trending. But then nothing happened and the band are playing even more than before. I'd be surprised if this is the last of AF touring.

    The National

Said it before, and maybe I’m just used to the sound at glastonbury and London gigs are in the city do have different sound reg rules but the levels where I was stood were dreadful. I was only about 7-8 rows from the front too and it was way too quiet. Made the atmosphere very weird where we were stood. Really dislike London outdoor shows, +1 for wishing the Brixton dates got rescheduled 😢

Had hoped they'd go down a bit in venue size tbh (mainly because arena shows are terrible). Who am I kidding, a pipe dream I know. Seems like their popularity never wanes, they're one of those bands who could go away for years and still come back where they left off, if not bigger. Maybe stadium shows might be better than an echoing arena. Just find the size of them so soulless though. The way ticket prices are going for big shows I may even be priced out.
  21. Ticketmaster should be boycotted at all costs. Surge pricing can fuck right off. Absolute scum bags.
  22. Would be good. Isn't Jarvis good friends of the festival too, DJ's every year. I can't look forward to anything yet without tickets though so hopefully a decent run of UK dates will be there to coincide if they did play the farm.

    Pretty genius really
  24. Didn't really notice it any worse this year than previous ones, but perhaps some one way entrances in to the Pyramid after a certain time might help, When entering from stage right the huge crowds coming out and in around the tree is always a nightmare, not to mention the food stalls right on the corner not helping matters with people trying to get to them and queueing. Would make it a whole lot easier if 'In' was on the left and 'Out' was on the right.
  25. Arcade Fire was another that surprised me and went against their ethos. Thought they'd be the last to opt in to all that, extra charges for early entry bullshit etc etc. I hate to say it but I'm soon going to be out priced of many shows the way things are going. I really fucking hate this world at the minute.
