    Beer Prices

Least you got Amstel. Pints were £7.50 in Swansea, for Carling I might add 🤬
  2. Probably the only person who prefers paper tickets (although I can see the benefits). Biggest thing I miss post covid is physical tickets for mementos. It's quite sad that I have a box of old gig tickets and suddenly it's stopped growing 😞
  3. I wish the festival would just scrap TBA's altogether and just announce a full line up. All this toying back and forth with speculation isn't much fun any more

    The churnups

Starting to feel like I'm the only person who dislikes Foo Fighters. Thought Pulp would be nailed on this year with Jarvis being there every other year and big friends of the Eavis's. Gutted with this new revelation.
  5. My tracking has finally updated and they’re due for delivery today. Tracking says it was only shipped from Nottingham yesterday so don’t know why they’re sending out dispatch emails 7 days in advance. Was beginning to panic.
  6. Was looking forward to catching Flowdan but see he's strangely got a 15 minute 'live' set on thursday. Guessing it's an error as he has another hour elsewhere on Friday.

Was Pink 55 in the muddy year (2016?). Was pure hell.
  8. Quite a few names who I thought would be on there this year. Bombay Bicycle Club (doing warm up shows in June too for added pain 😞 ), Inhaler, Nothing But Thieves, M83, Bon Iver. And Bloc Party - starting to feel the festival really don't like them. They've been active and touring across multiple years, was it last year they were even playing Bristol the day before the festival.
  9. I can't seem to get the feeling yet and feeling guilty in the process knowing how much it means to be there. I can't help but feel it's all become a bit samey same for me. A lot of the same acts every year (Skream, Eats Everything, Fatboy Slim, Elvana all playing every year). Naughty Corner became a bit lame in recent years. I miss the individual nightclubs they had there where you had to have a tattoo to enter one and the whole heaven and hell stages. Scrapping of the silent disco last year made me feel a bit lost on Thursday night. No Williams Green. A lot of bands who I thought would be on the line up missing (M83, Bon Iver, Sigur Ros). I know there's plenty more to see and do but maybe the spark has gone for me. I know I'll still have a great time in the fields drinking and meeting new people but I can't seem to get excited yet 😞
  10. Also no silent disco, again. Really not sure why this was scrapped. Was dearly missed last year. I love my electronic music but for one night of the festival (usually Thursday) dancing in Silver Hayes to indie classics and pop until the sun came up was the one. Now all we have is Baggy Mondays for an hour and half in the afternoon in a tiny tent which you can't get remotely close to from overcrowding. I'm sure a few years ago there used to be a Propaganda bar/tent too. But seems like it's just purely electronic music now in the nights.

I really don't get the Pylon Ground planning. Surely everyone is going to pile in through Gate A and go straight down like they always do (it's my usual route) only to realise it's a dead end. Just doesn't make any logical sense.
  12. I'm not sure why people get berated for not liking a line up. Music is subjective and it's not going to please everyone. "give your ticket up then" posts don't really add much to the conversation. For me there's a strong handful of acts I want to see but definitely a lot less than normal, I have large 4-5 hour gaps on some days and everyone I want to see is all crammed together which sucks. That's not to say I won't discover someone amazing when I have a chance to go through all the unknown bands. For me though under first impression it feels like they are trying to save money where they can. There's Williams Green being scrapped so I feel like we've lost a big chunk of decent sized acts performing on the Wednesday which really used to get my weekend started. The comedy acts are pretty weak for me this year. And too many TBA's. Why can't they just release the line up in full. Might be in the minority but would scrap secret sets altogether. Let people see who they want to see and be done with it.
  13. Tent put up yesterday. It's brand new but the gf put the thought in to my head what if it's broken when we get there 🙄. Dug out the chairs from the shed. Found this guy in mine. Might need to go and buy a new chair as it's his now.
  14. Anyone else feeling nervous the longer this dry spell goes on for? It's been a soaking wet year up to now, and this sunny period has to break soon 😞 (I know this means nothing at all and anything can happen).
  15. Hoping the drinks prices haven't gone up by too much, but not only is there inflation there's Brooklyn beers to think about. Not prime but certainly more expensive than Carling/Tuborg etc.

Does Skream need a third DJ set? Could they not have booked someone else? (I know he does different styles).

Not the best sized image but puts in to perspective the changes/losses to camp spaces compared to last year.
  18. Hopefully this year is better than last year, felt like a logistical nightmare - they were cutting it fine. Got ours the week before, got me sweating.
  19. Did last year sell out/were people selling tickets closer to the date? Got flights sorted but wanted to wait a little while yet to pick up a ticket. Got Glasto balance to pay off end of this month. Just don't want to leave it too late and not sure how popular this one is. Line up seems good.
  20. To be fair I saw a mum sniffing at the other stage last year mid-afternoon with her kids in a pram. Not one to judge but yeah plenty of scatty people about.
  21. Really thought we were going to get M83, Bon Iver, Ben Howard. All touring Europe/nearby. Hoping they pop up on the next poster but not holding my breath.

    REN

Sounds like a copy of early Plan B. Heard the one song that's going off on Youtube etc, and he does mention that in his lyrics, so he's not wrong.
  23. Does anyone know when the 3 day tickets are likely to be released and do they sell out quickly? Hoping to attend for the first time.
  24. War on Drugs, King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard, Pulp, Bon Iver, Fred Again. And not so much an act but the Silent Disco to return to Silver Hayes. Hugely missed last year 😞
  25. Hopefully War on Drugs make an appearance. But weren't they nearby in Bristol last year and didn't? Was surprised to not see them there last year.
