  1. Luton would be lovely. They’ve done a sensational job the last few years in the Championship. Never been in the prem as it is now.
  2. The more I look at this lineup, the more jealous I am of everyone going. It’s almost like the Saturday has been curated for me. Make sure you see Pale Blue Eyes if you’re at a loose end.
  3. Genuinely think that if I was going to buy tickets for this year, I’d be torn between this and Y NOT based on experience/setting vs lineup. Not that the Kendal lineup is terrible. Just a few more personal favourites on the Y NOT lineup.
  4. Very impressed with this lineup. Trumps a lot of the festivals in the same bracket.
  5. Final additions today. https://nbhdweekender.com/neighbourhood-weekender-2023/
  6. Not a bad line up but still a bit weak up top for me. Is there a festival in the UK this year that confidence man aren’t playing? Absolutely cashing in on the hype train and fair play to them.
  7. Absolutely. Already been discussed in our group.
  8. Few updates from the Kendal mail out today. Kasabian Friday. Blossoms Saturday. Royal Blood Sunday. Frank Turner headlining parklands Saturday. Mel C and Confidence Man on Saturday. Example before Kasabian on Friday.
  9. Y Not lineup out then. Would imagine we will get a few from here. Charlatans must be a shoe-in? Wasn’t expecting them to be touring this weekend with Tim at Kendal.
  10. Big moment for the met lounge in Peterborough. Spent a lot of weekends in there in my teens. Howling Bells and Larrikin Love was as good as it got back then.
  11. Was drinking Lilley’s cider in bottles. Can’t remember exactly but just under a fiver I think. Really great place though. Keen to go back for one of their all-dayers that include the outside stage too.
  12. White flowers last night at Future Yard in Birkenhead for Independent Venue Week. Excellent live band destined for bigger things. First time at Future Yard. Great place. Just feels authentically grass roots. Would love a venue like that in Warrington.
  13. In a slightly odd lineup change, Just Jack was on the original line up on the website and isn’t there now. No idea why I noticed that but I did. 😂
  14. Headliners not my bag but plenty on the undercard. Deja Vega, Stone, Katy J Pearson, Murder Capital, Frank Turner and Confidence Man certainly on my hit list. Will give Kasabian a go with Serge frontman too. On the subject of confidence man, not sure I’ve seen a festival announced for this summer without them on.
  15. Royal Blood could possibly turn up looking at their tour dates. Jamie T definitely a good shout. Bloc Party or Editors potentials for Thursday too I think. Be very surprised if the lineup doesn’t include at least one of Noel and Kasabian. Be nice to see a female within the headliners. Not sure if Florence is too big or not? Self Esteem probably a sub. Wolf Alice not touring. Little Simz or London Grammar?
  16. Albums 1. Confidence Man - Tilt 2. Pale Blue Eyes - Souvenirs 3. Loyle Carner - Hugo 4. Fontaines D.C - Skinty Fia 5. T.E.E.D - When the lights go Track Bulgarian Cartrader - LAB Gig Michael Kiwanuka - Blackpool Empress Ballroom
  17. Would be delighted with Wolf Alice. Rather than wheeling the old guard out, give someone new a go. Idles would put on a great show too.
  18. Shoot for the moon and if you miss, you’ll end up with a load of naff indie headliners.
  19. Think they’re almost billing it as a triple headliners. Not saying it makes it any better. I love Paul Heaton and Jacqui Abbott but they headlined the second stage in 2021 so it is a surprise to see them that high. Think the day has enough about it to sell well though and would be surprised if Sunday didn’t sell out.
  20. Would guess the first wave is on it’s way in November. Predictions? Could see it looking something like Noel G, Capaldi/Florence and Idles/Foals as headliners. Potentially a big slot for Self Esteem too. Wishlist would be Wolf Alice, James and Chemical Brothers headlining with Kiwanuka, Richard Hawley, Fontaines D.C and Elbow popping up as well.
  21. First wave came out on Friday. Big one to snag the first Pulp festival gig of the reunion. Lots of standard middle-lineup fodder but great to see Heaton and Abbott up top and surprised but happy to see Confidence Man appear in what looks a decent slot. What’s everyone thinking?
