  1. I spent the run up to the festival bitching about what an unoriginal booking it was, and then left the field with tears running down my face. Utterly incedibly.
  2. I think you're right and I guess the reality is, any ticketing platform will have backdoors - there's no fool proof system. With SeeTickets I think we have the least worst option.
  3. I just worry that you can manipulate every other mainstream ticketing platform much more easily... https://www.fiverr.com/gigs/ticketmaster-bot
  4. I agree that the SeeTickets backdoor is awful, but the idea of Ticketmaster or AXS taking over the sale utterly terrifies me.
  5. Yeah here we go, thread from 2013 discussing it:
  6. Pretty sure this trick has been going around for years - I remember it being discussed in maybe 2015, 2016 on here and lots of people got in that way. I seem to remember this method then didn't work for a number of years. It looks like that's changed.
  7. If Noel needs money after the divorce surely they'd be announcing a stadium tour rather than taking peanuts to play at Glastonbury? I can see them doing it at some point after a tour but not the other way round.
  8. Not quite sure how but all 36 of us got through and the weird thing is it was the same guy that got us all tickets, who got through 6 times. I am shook.

    2024 Headliners

She denied the headliners were confirmed, not that they were correct was my reading of it.

    2024 Headliners

Ignore this - just realised it's already been covered

    2024 Headliners

Very cleverly worded as it seems to be saying the rumours they have confirmed are untrue, not that they won't eventually be confirmed.
  12. They must be shitting themselves about not selling out.

Let me believe I stand a chance 🤣

    2024 Headliners

Does she normally do promo around ticket day? I'm sure in previous years there hasn't been any until nearer the festival. Are they worried about the numbers registered/the price rise impacting sales?
  15. There are absolutely whole scale issues with the gates - it is VERY easy to get in if you know how and have £500.

    2024 Headliners

She's literally only ever made another Instagram post about being at a Coldplay gig. So looks pretty meaningful to me.

Many people are advising not to over analyse the Instagram post too much. From what I can see, Emily has only shared a grid post about attending a (non Glastonbury) concert once before, and that was when she went to see Coldplay. As we all know, Coldplay have never performed at Glastonbury, so there's no clear link between Emily's Instagram posts about going to a concert and the possibility of that artist performing at the festival.
  18. I wonder if Sticklinch and Worthy View will rise in a similar vein? The price rise on the main ticket is below inflation so they'll be having to make the difference up somewhere (or cutting more areas). Expecting hospitality tickets to have shot up as well and maybe pitch fees?
  19. People said the same thing about it breaching £200 ticket and then that happened and they said it about £300 a ticket and now it's £400. Not diminishing your point but it might make less of a difference than you think as the price of everything else goes up too so it doesn't seem as bad, comparatively. The demographic has been changing for years and will continue to change. If it was up to me, to kill three birds with one stone (overcrowding, affordability and demographics) I'd change the ticket structure so there were 15,000 'Friday - Sunday' tickets at a reduced price, only available to under 25s. Loss of income offset by making it so that you can only register for a ticket if you're a member of 'Club Glastonbury' (or something) which costs £20 per year. (Basically charging people to register but having some other perks to make it feel less stingy).
  20. £375 would seem like a sensible bet. Last years price plus 10%.
  21. This is already happening, there are thousands sneaking in every year.
  22. Expand the capacity of the Other Stage by removing half of Oxylers. Rename it to 'Oxylers' stage and treat it as the second main stage: 6 headliner announcements across Pyramid and Oxylers and 6 headline acts on the poster Have a late night rejig - split Block 9, move The Common and expand Shangri-La: move the NYC Downlow and Genosys Sound System to where San Remo is currently, move The Common over to the field currently occupied by NYC Downlow and Genosys. Expand Shangri-La in to the field previously occupied by The Common. No new Shangri-La venues, just more spread out. Reduce general admission by 10,000 and a introduce a new ticket type of 10,000 Friday-Sunday tickets at a reduced price. They could offset the loss by expanding Sticklinch and Worthy View capacity (as demand is clearly there). Repeaters at the back of the Pyramid (formerly Row Mead camping) and repeater screens like Download.
  23. Victoria Beckham has posted a video of her singing a Spice Girls song with the caption "warming up the vocals in Miami!! More to come 🤫!! 🎵🎤" https://vm.tiktok.com/ZGJVT1URn/ Incidentally, her and David are completely off their twats in it.
