You have to show your ticket stub which is checked under a light to stop forgeries when entering and leaving the festival. . They will also check you are the person on the ticket and will ask for sunglasses and hats to be removed if in doubt. You have your wristband tugged, and on re-entering you hand in a pass out that you are given when you leave the festival. It's pretty thorough!

I don't think they had any clue as to how it worked, they certainly hadn't prepared themselves to be questioned!

One year 2 girls were sat near our awning in the campervan fields crying, I checked what was wrong and it turned out both they and their boyfriends had bought tickets off a mate who said it wouldn't be a problem getting in. How wrong the mate was, the girls got in, the boyfriends didn't. After being questioned they were taken a police station to be questioned further to no avail and their tickets were confiscated. They were then escorted back and all four left the site under the watchful eye of security. They had also hired a campervan so all in all it was a very costly experience for them.

I have seen Ray Davies and Paul Simon in the so called legends spot but I am usually elsewhere. As I will be this year!

I am hoping to go to this, it's a lovely idea and I hope it brings closure or at least some comfort for many people ! 💜

Absolutely spot on, yes it was cheaper to buy and leave than rent and at least they left the keys. They encroached on our camp in the fire lane on the Friday night and had gone by early Monday morning. All the gear left was brand new, I just can't imagine leaving stuff that cost a decent amount of money!

It was a nice caravan too, they had paid £800 for it as the receipt was also left behind, seen far worse in the CV fields. Luckily for Steve he had a tow bar on his car!

I've done it in E21- East Campervan fields. People were very grateful to receive a black and green bin bag. One year a caravan was left, the people who abandoned it announced their intentions before removing the number plate, leaving the keys inside and driving off! All their bedding, pans, glasses were left behind too. Me and my mate (also a Worthy Warrier) managed to rehome it and a very grateful chap called Steve from Liverpool took it home with him! We made sure no one left a trace that year!

The OP hasn't mentioned taking a campervan, just a microvan towing a trailer tent + 2 small tents.

If it's towing a trailer tent you only need one CV pass. Don't worry you will be fine and there is no reason to even tell the stewards anyone is sleeping in the microcamper, it's simply a towing vehicle. I have used the CV fields every festival since 2009 and have seen a variety of towing vehicles not all are cars! 👍
