OH you;re right, going to be an amazing party. Although I think I may get irked by people endlessly talking through sets or watching through their phones even more.... just back from IOW and although it seemed the 'watch through the phone' brigade were less (and was commented by more than one band) there were still too many .... and during a few bands it was endless loud chatter from groups around us (and that was pretty near the front) - I found myself feeling like a right grumpy fairy and saying we'd waited for this moment for so long and could they enjoy it please and absorb and live it rather than chat about cr&p through a set - I fear I just needed to drink more and ignore them lol

Congrats @crazyfool1on your new home , looking forward to seeing it on the next meet - is it this weekend ? I’m feeling a little sorry for myself …. Isolating due to being Covid + 🙄😫

Agreed , although for both scouting and kaisers we managed to go to the back of the tent 10-15 mins before they started and walk pretty freely round the back and the the opposite side of the big top and had heaps of room around us . The big top had an amazing atmosphere - loved it

but sounded awesome when there - or maybe that’s because I was just glad to be back amongst smiley happy people and live music . 🙂

@crazyfool1 you were right, any worries I had soon disappeared with a cider ….. bloody brilliant, what a feeling being back in a festival crowd with live music 🎶

Yes you can use both areas- Looks to me like premium maybe different this year without its own viewing area even though that’s how it’s been advertised . Have you got your info yet ? Are you reading the info the same as me ?

I get you I really do. My Dad passed away last October and covid stopped me seeing him too until the very last 2 hours , I can;t imagine not being allowed to be with your mum at all - I really can;t so I can only imagine. Take one day at a time, the grief for me came in total waves and actually hit me really hard when I went back home - take all the time you need, remember the good times, look at photographs and cry and laugh when you need to sending you huge hugs and we're all here if you just want to sound off to a load of internet friends x

I know I can share with you guys - I'm tired, another long weekend working, I'm missing home (back on Wednesday yay) and I'm working on BH monday .... anyway a mail just dropped in asking if still available for Bin painting in 2022 - you bet I am ... my place is confirmed, I am so flippin happy 🙂 onsite from 4th June , holiday booked - I may have shed a little tear at my desk - there is light for my soul at the end of a very long tunnel 🙂

97.5% ... I'm not even convinced about IOW in 4 weeks time, that that won;t have the plug pulled after R&L/Boardmasters etc ... I do think if it goes ahead and people are still being told to isolate if testing postive etc, that less people will 'risk' gong to a festival where maybe the chances are higher of having to isolate, especially anyone who has to travel and get tested to get back home

Still waiting for my #first gig back' since February 2019 but its going to feel sssoooo good when it happens 🙂

Anyone got any advise on the best way to travel to and from the festival daily ? We#re combining the festival with 10 days in IOW and staying in Ventor so looking for the best way . Do cab firms take pre bookings daily or is it a case of queuing and hoping for the best ? Thanks PS; never been to IOW so its all a new experience 🙂
