  1. Why not? It doesn't make any difference to what weather happens.
  2. Even with relentless optimism, I'll admit that Friday doesn't look great. But the rest of it is fine. Even on Friday, I'll just see stuff in Woodsies, best soundsystem on site 😎
  3. It was pointed out to us how gross it was, so we stopped.
  4. Just like to point out that people who say they prefer lots of heat, or enough rain to keep the dust down, or autumnal temperatures or a mud bath aren't actually making an argument that can possibly have an impact on what happens. This isn't politics, we're not talking about how to organise society, just our own preferences. It's impossible to be selfish when discussing what weather we prefer, because what we think doesn't matter and makes absolutely no difference. So yeah, let's just chill a bit about other people's different opinions about what's the best weather - because the clouds sure as hell aren't listening!
  5. And that's probably very sensible of them, but over time as the technology becomes more and more robust and more and more useful, eventually there will come a point where moving to digital tickets becomes a no brainer.
  6. Probably still showing that last run before things went back to normal.
  7. Not each individual degree - I'd probably struggle to tell the difference between 22 and 23 for instance, but I could definitely tell you if it was 20 or 24 if presented with two options.
  8. You're right, so it is a new tent after all.
  9. They usually put the green stripes on a couple of days later.
  10. Indeed, the bottom of Pennard Hill where so many tent were floating is now a great big ditch that flows all the water off site.
  11. Would it though? The ground is very dry and the drainage on site has built up quite a lot of capacity over the years of infrastructure improvement. In 2014 we had a torrential thunderstorm and the only place that was muddy a few hours later was the markets between Other and Silver Hayes. Lots of water flowing in the ditches where tents used to float years before.
  12. It really does seem like this isn't a knife edge year - somewhere in the middle seems to be most likely option by far, unlike most years where there seems to be a choice between mudbath and el scorchio. Neither are being predicted at the moment.
  13. These dry days with lowish temperatures never seem to happen at Glastonbury. You get wet+cold (2007) or showery and coolish (2008), but if it's dry all day, it always ends up being roasting. You know what, it's not a knife edge this year, it's definitely going to be fine. /Thread
  14. And apparently it's a smell than humans are particularly good at smelling, which is unusual because our sense of smell is usually pretty rubbish.
  15. The one saying it's cancel territory was and has done before.
  16. I'm going to answer in the context of live performances at Glastonbury. The performance I saw isn't on youtube, so this will have to do:
