  1. Should add for clarification that I have not been told anything in relation to KOL and Glastonbury. It just puts them in the UK around festival time and given that their only currently announced UK date is on July 4th at Silverstone you'd think if my info is correct there will be more dates added around 23rd June and 4th July. Potentially leaving a GSH...?
  2. Yes. The fact there's that BS3 Live thing happening on the Saturday makes me question what I've been told a bit but the more I think about it, if they've got a stage and all the infrastructure in place already then perhaps that makes it more likely?
  3. Kings of Leon. Bristol. Sunday 23rd June. TBA.
  4. Yep, we've had our fill. Everyone back to an even playing field next year is the best outcome for this whole situation.

    2024 Headliners

Dua undeniably a worthy headliner. Houdini has done 40million listens in a week. Her album is going to do insane numbers. For my personal tastes it's only Madge out of the trio mentioned who would be a 100% definite that i'll be there. Outside of this it all very much comes down to the other headliners. I just don't want to find myself at a pity Fatboy Slim set because there's naff all else on. Saturday unquestionably weak for my personal tastes in 2023.
  6. Imagine dropping the ball on such a large scale. Straight up embarrassing really.

    2024 Headliners

Talking Heads would be a real turn up for the books given they haven't performed together in over 20 years 😂
  8. Can't win them all, just most of them etc. Blame the Croissant Neuf folks. It came from them 😂
  9. Yep, looks like what I was told was wrong!
  10. Been told it's back to a tent this year rather than outside stage.

    Sneaking in story

He was on site well before Sunday evening. He's a friend of a friend and was in loads of photos with my friend over the week.
  12. yeah probably go on sale through seetickets in the next week or so. don't see it selling out via in person sales.
  13. Well this make's up for the chaos of trying to see them in the JP in 2019. It was about 50 deep outside of the tent!
  14. Not that we'd see it given the weather currently!
  15. I thought we all knew expecting something is a mugs game when it comes to the festival 😂
  16. Went on sale 10am - 4pm from the old festival office on Sat 6th August last year. Looks like lineup + tix were announced on 3rd Aug.
  17. I too have been told The Streets will be at PP.
  18. If only I knew someone who might know 😂
  19. Sorry, just to add. This year was the first I've done what I wanted to rather than bow to peer pressure. Headliner finished and I was off to the tent whilst my friends went out in to the night. Moral of the story - do you.
  20. Must admit after 2022 I was ready to call it a day. Volunteering this year was like a shot in the arm though. Think a lot of that was because for the first time in 14 festivals it wasn't all about getting out of my mind for a week and I actually had to be responsible. The "breaks" from the festival itself served similar to that of giving your phone an extra bit of battery by putting it on charge midday. Situations may dictate I don't attend next year but this time around it won't be because I don't fancy it. If anyone is feeling like I did in 2022 I recommend giving it a year of doing the festival differently. It might serve you well too.

    Volunteering 2023

Got leathered Friday but went back to tent after Saw Doctors. The 5am alarm was a bit of a struggle but I got it done like a trooper.

    Volunteering 2023

I got very lucky with my Oxfam shifts: Weds 6am - 2pm - Gate B Thurs 2pm - 10pm - Gate A Sat 6am - 2pm - Gate B This was my 14th festival and first as a non-punter. For me my very fortunate shift pattern made me fall in love with volunteering however it's unlikely I'll ever get shifts which are as kind as the above if I do it again! It just worked out perfectly. I wanted to do the early Weds shift because I knew it would be a great one with everyone arriving and just generally being really happy to be there. Working at Gate A on the Thursday meant I could meet my parents at the gate as they had brought my daughter (and traveled on the shuttle bus from B&W) and I could then bring her on site for the morning. It also meant I could then meet them just before my shift started to hand my daughter back so they could take her home. My last shift being early Saturday meant I was done at lunchtime then had the rest of the festival with nothing to worry about. Handed my tabard back when I finished, had a shower, a free meal then got stuck in. As others have said by being held accountable in terms of having shifts to complete meant I wasn't full throttle for the whole week on booze so when Sunday rolled around I wasn't thinking "this is a chore" All in, I would highly recommend it. If I go next year then it's highly likely I'll look to work with Oxfam again.
  23. They’ll open up at 10.
