Carter USM, they called Orbital out on it on social media. We have this discussion nearly every year here on eFests.
-
I'm proper puzzled about the lack of Orbital on the line up, they were to "close out the dance field," according to Phill when I saw them do a talk back like a week before the first lockdown, which Paul didn't seem happy about him revealing. Obviously it has been years since then but they pushed back their planned 30 album and are now releasing it this year as "30 Something" plus they seem to be touring around summer so I'm honestly confused that they aren't anywhere on that line up. edit: just seen the 1:30-2:30am at Wow after Sunday night 🤔

It was his actual birthday 😂 I had to check because I too thought he was just saying it.

It's always like that, Pelle goes on like that as part of the act, I always look at it as a bit of a piss take of the whole rock and roll thing. He acts like they're the best band in the world, he even did it the year the Stones played Glastonbury, making out The Hives should have been headlining instead. They did cut out Two Timing Touch and Broken Bones which I was gutted about and they definitely could have fit in as they had 5 mins to spare. Tick tick boom is usually stretched out to around 10 minutes with the whole band introduction thing. They should have headlined a night for me to be honest but then I'm biased as they were they main band I wanted to see over the weekend.

Unfortunately opposition fans lap it up though as do the media and it pisses me off. seems he is on NUFC still.
-
I see Steve Bruce is still playing the victim 🙄

Surprise guest has to be Jack White or I'll sulk.

My snapshot of the weekend. Few thoughts, signal was the worst it's ever been on the site. Woodlands queuing seemed grim for those who had to do it, It was such a long queue for Peter Hook and all I could think was those poor souls at towards the back had no hope of getting in. Speaking of the woodlands, must be one of the best areas at any festival in the UK, unfortunately the sounds is still terrible there. *edit I only got there 8pm Friday night due to work and was gutted that all those nice flavours of cider had gone, was surprised that booze price seemed pretty much where it was a few years ago, the food on the other hand does seem to have crept up. I was expecting price hikes as with everything else at the minute.

I just don't get why Klopp won it, he fail his objective.
-
Fair enough but no team had ever stayed up after no win in 14, Howe changed that.
-
Mental that Klopp got it, failed in his task. Eddie was clearly the winner. Won the fan vote but counts for 5% apparently.
-
@kaosmark2 @charlierc It's our highest points total in 8 years! We didn't win a match for 14, I cannot describe what an incredible turn around it has been from Eddie, the team and the ownership.
-
Think it looks smart, I'll be after one if it is indeed the new away kit.
-
Unreal!
-
Newcastle are safe, unreal turn around. First team to not win for 14 games and still survive. Excited for next season already, been a very long time since I said that.
-
Don't think the Newcastle comparison is quite equal. Burnley gone from a stable and long term structure and changed it. Newcastle had 4 managers that season? The club was an absolute dumpster fire.
-
22K at St James' Park today for the women's game. What a turn out for the lasses.
-
Liverpool fans who I work with are genuinely concerned that Newcastle will throw a spanner in the works for their title hopes tomorrow. Not so sure myself but what a weird old season it has been, can't believe I'm hearing this kind of thing.
-
It's starting to look that way. Rafa lost 10 out of 19 and Lamps has lost 8 in 12.
-
Newcastle are somehow 9th in the league despite giving everyone a 14 game head start 🤯
-
And they press teams now.
-
Manager of the season picking up a 6th win in a row at St James' Park, only had 1 win after first half of the season, unbelievable turn around.
-
Wasn't aimed at you, more pointing out the ludicrous opinions given regarding NUFC.
-
Of course cash helped, literally what the transfer window is for. Liverpool and Man City aren't at the top end of the table by playing a full 11 from their youth systems. But the absolute biggest influence is the manager and we so desperately needed a change from the dinosaur. No club has ever stayed up after no wins in 14.

Eddie Howe, manager of the season.
