I've just been looking at the timeline on the BBC website; reading/watching videos from each year. Glastonbury already means a lot to me but knowing more about the history of it has made me appreciate/love it more! I'm now even more excited than before, which I didn't think was possible!
However, as this will only be my third year ('07, '08, '09) it's made me wish that I was around to have experienced the earlier festivals! So far, I'd say my first year, 2007, was the best (even though it rained non stop) as I was only 16 and was completely overwhelmed as soon as I walked through the ticket barrier and knew that I was going to love it - I was right!
So, which year has been your best at the legendary Glastonbury Festival?

Probably going to leave my D40 at home this year. I'll most likely just take my fairly decent compact camera. Much lighter/smaller to carry around and won't be so worried about breaking/losing it as it's a lot cheaper than my SLR

After wandering around the site all day in the SUN, showing the newbies in my group the wonders of Glasto, eating delicious food and drinking plenty of Brothers cider, we will most likely be sat at Stone Circle with yet another pint of cider in hand, talking to randoms as though we've known them for years and not a worry in the world. Bliss

Not wanting people to think I am a total weirdo but I got excited on Saturday eating falafel. I love Glastonbury falafel.

About this time of year when my exams start and I have a lot of revision to do, Glastonbury is what keeps me going! It's like a post exam celebration
I was driving to college today as I do every day and noticed a sign for Glastonbury...I genuinely never really noticed it before as I know the area so well I don't really bother to look at the signs, but yeah...made me really excited!

Not that I'd see him anyway but...I walked past him at the festival last year, said 'Hey Will'...he blatantly heard me but completely ignored me. What a nice guy!
Pre Glasto warm up - what are you doing?

I will be staying round my friend's house (in Pilton!) having a couple of pints of cider, chilling out with a load of people I'm camping with. Will try to get some sleep but am sure everyone will be too excited! Then we'll stroll on over to the festival just before the gates open. Perfect
