  1. ...and with a hospitality pass? My experience is that most let you in, but I dont think I've been to Tow & Hitch
  2. whats the normal lead time for the app. when it was EE. im sure it was out in the first week of June last year?
  3. Are the artists ever announced for the Transgressive Takeovers? I've not been to one of them before. Are they proper sets? How does it work? Annoyingly they have both Friday and Sunday and you have to make a proper commitment to the Rabbit Hole. It would be so annoying if all the artists I want to see end up playing on the Sunday after I've commited to the Friday. I really like Dave Okumu's new album, I quite like Wesley Joseph, who presumably will be onsite on the saturday to join Loyle Carner anyway for Blood on my Nikes. And of course Loyle himself, Arlo, Damon...
  4. Loyle Carner’s new single is a collaboration with Belgian rapper Romeo Elvis. A possible multi-lingual guest appearance?
  5. Little Simz on with Obongjayar for Point and Kill.
  6. Everyone’s going on about how rammed Maisie Peters will be. But Lottery Winners - #1 album. And on a Thursday.
  7. You shouldn’t have it with. Ever. Have it after. It’s really there to avoid the lousy Wednesday/Thursday feeling. Rather than the lousy morning after.
  8. I love him ‘n all - but haven’t we all seen Fatboy Slim? I don’t think it’s going to be as rammed as everyone thinks. Loyle Carner/Christine n’ the Queens and isn’t Fred Again supposed to be Other on Saturday night? There’s a lot on (obviously the Pyramid will be pretty empty)
  9. Two tracks (most recent, most played) from all the artists playing just the Park Stage. It's just the Park Stage - Stonebridge and the Rabbit Hole to follow on a separate playlist.
  10. Does she do anything other than a DJ set?
  11. This is amazing. Congratulations to you for buying it. And congratulations to Neil for selling it.
  12. Here's a Woodsies playlist
  13. Threads on Frederick John Philip Gibson, #74 in a series of n
  14. I don’t think the UK gets Imagine Dragons. And Imagine Dragons definitely doesn’t get the UK. I always think that of any band that makes Milton Keynes it’s only UK appearance in a global tour.
  15. I used to feel like this. And then I moved to Suffolk! I now won’t countenance a word against him! He’s a saint around these parts. I also listen to Florence and the Machine a lot more than I used to!
  16. Not complete but a couple of tracks from most. Where possible the most recent and the most played (on spotify)
  17. A fair point, and, yes, i am totally against touting. But in this particular case person A found out he was unable to go a fortnight before. He wouldnt have got a refund. Person B was happy to make the journey and take the train home again if it didnt work out. No money exchanged hands. The two people had met a small party the week before. Shouldnt have happened. Somehow it worked.
  18. How different is friend a to friend b? I have personal experience of three instances where people have used other people's tickets. Two just walked straight through. The other was a very good friend (aged 53) who literally gave his ticket away to a stranger in his mid-twenties. The guy was turned away at his first attempt. But allowed to keep the ticket. Went round to a different gate and got let in.
  19. A vote for labour is not a vote for more of the same. People say this about Blair - that he was just a tory with a red rosette, that he was tory-lite etc. I think Blair was more revolutionary than people give him credit for these day. When Blair came to power what the Labour Party achieved was remarkable. We forget now. And it was left-of-centre politics. He introduced a minimum wage, he took a million children above the poverty line, he introduced RightStart and invested a massive amount in education, he introduced civil partnerships, he paved the way for peace in northern Ireland, he brought down hospital waiting lists, he cut rough sleeping by 75%. Everyone says now, that he was as right wing as David Cameron. But actually... its the other way round. The only way the conservatives got in was because Blair had moved the conversation to the left. Cameron had no choice but to start there. Cameron continued the gay rights journey, unthinkable from a Tory party twenty years earlier. He stuck with the minimum wage. Do you think Thatcher would have done? Sadly Johnson, May, Truss etc have all taken the conversation back to the right. but a vote for Labour back in '97 wasnt a vote for 'Tory-lite' and it wont be again this time round. Im not a member of the Labour Party. But I think we all have to do whatever we can to let some grown ups back in charge, and this lot out. They are nothing short of evil. Oh, and taking this post back to topic... one of my best Glastonbury memories was in Left Field. Naomi Klein giving a talk and showing a film about a south american co-operative. 2002, I think . One of those right place, right time moments.
  20. Leftfield playlist. Two tracks per artist. Most recent and most played (on Spotify)
  21. Here you go. Two tracks from each artist; their most played (on Spotify) and their most recent. Really enjoyed this one - i can probably count on one hand the amount of time I've spent at Croissant Neuf. Yet I realise now that I actually like quite a lot of the music
  22. Just saw Themba announce a London date for Friday 23 June. Is there a possibility that he’ll also play Glastonbury over the weekend.
  23. WTF! aren’t we supposed to have some kind of night czar, to stand up for the entertainment sector in this city. This has upset me so much.
  24. Inverted snobbery is still... snobbery. No?
