In theory, yeah, they could, but I feel like it would be a surprise to see them add Glastonbury at this point having already broken cover with doing Wembley, Manchester, Glasgow and the IOW festival exclusive.
I do think they have enough songs to have made a go of it, or even do an hour "Churn-Ups" style set, but equally, I'm struggling to see it happening now.
Yeah, I don't hold much hope but while hope remains I'll cling onto it.

I agree. They'd be a great booking.
Exclusivity can be temporary whilst there are tickets for sale. It might be more watertight, but we've seen it mean nothing in the past.
It's a more difficult booking, but not impossible.
I really enjoyed them on their last tour and I think they'd go down well at Glastonbury.
I was kind of surprised that they didn't have 2 London nights booked and I was thinking maybe they see it as a nice way to finish their European tour. Hearing it as an exclusive for IOW makes it trickier and probably means they're not coming, but I suppose you can never rule out anyone until it's physically impossible for them not to be there.

Isle of Wight festival exclusive
Didn't realise that.

I was just looking at Green Day's tour and it appears they have Friday and Sunday of Glastonbury available. The Friday is less likely as they are in Dublin the night before but Sunday is the day after their Wembley show and although it would mean 2 nights in a row it isn't unheard of for them and they do have a month off before their American tour.

That’s a lot of outside bets. No way LDR is back this year as headliner, esp after last years issues.
I didn't really look at the chat about this year's festival due to not having a ticket, I'm not aware what the issues are.

I'm going to say the only one of those that could feasibly top the Pyramid next year is Miley. I don't think Beyonce will ever do it again, but she is next closest.
I think you're unlikely to see any of the others at the festival again in any way.
Give me Miley though, please and thanks.
To be honest I wouldn't have any real idea. Apart from money, which isn't a valid reason if you've already done it, I can't see a reason why they wouldn't do it.

Emily only ever said ‘might’ be two female headliners
Still it doesn't stop people, including on here banking on it.
It's not like she mentioned Madonna either but that hasn't stopped people assuming she was booked.

There's loads, but I don't think the picnic blanket posse or the BBC would be too pleased.
The only ones I can think of would fit the bill perfectly.

I mean, not really? That’s been a point of discussion on this board for ages. Gaga and Rihanna are as good as out, P!nk has been chucked around a few times, Dua is likely already there, Billie too recent, O Rod more likely for 2025, Taylor looking like the one that got away.
For active, viable, female acts there are less options than you’d think.
I've been following the chat but didn't realise that Rihanna and Gaga were out. I think an easy swap might be P!nk. If Kylie is still being touted as the Legend spot then maybe she could come in as headliner.
Other possibles to me (admittedly not looking at touring schedules) are:
Beyonce
Miley Cyrus
Ariana Grande
Nicki Minaj
Lana Del Rey
Katy Perry
Admittedly I don't know much about pop music, so there must be more, or maybe some on this list not as big as I thought/no longer relevant enough.
I realise there's other acts like Olivia Rodrigo who could get a bump up.

I think if you think Coldplay and Killers are uninspiring then I think you've been to too many Glastonbury festivals. Those people who haven't been to many Glastonbury's will almost certainly think either or both are decent bookings even if they're not fans.
Having said that, I can't believe after saying that 2 headliners will be female they will change it to 2 male lead singer bands that have played the festival plenty of times before, even if Madonna has pulled out.
There must be plenty of good female acts that could step in.

It was fantastic! I could have easily watched another hour.

Saw the Big Moon with strings at Papillon in Southampton last night. They were amazing.

I lead a group of year 11's and the fact that the GSCES will be over is why I am able to go. I'm so excited as I thought it'll be many years before I'd be able to go back to Glastonbury.

Had a fantastic time at my first Green Man.
In recent years I've witnessed an increase in loud talkers during large parts of sets. A quick quiet chat is fine, especially between songs but through whole songs, why?!!! To be honest I didn't notice too much of that at Green Man but what I did witness was to the extreme.
I'll echo the comments about people seemingly going for a family holiday (taking up room in the campsite and large groups playing games or in buggy's etc), I don't mind people doing that as long as there's space for others, which for the most part in the campsite there wasn't but was in the arena.
I found the sound for all stages great, apart from the vocals in Far Out on Thursday. I liked the spacing of the stages although there was annoying sound leakage in Babbling Tongues from the Walled Garden and it was a shame that there was the bubble stall playing loud music right opposite the small acoustic stage.
As a vegetarian, I get worried about food choices but found there to be plenty and although a little pricey, everything I had was tasty. The drink selection was better than I imagined.
I found the general atmosphere around the site, brilliant and better than most events of similar size or bigger that I've been to.
The toilets were decent and never had to wait too long for water. I also found the signposts etc easy to follow and staff were helpful, even one steward going out their way to find out where the secret drag venue was (which was brilliant).
Highlights for me was: John Mouse, Mandrake Handshake, Wunderhorse, Metronomy, Dactyl Terra, Preen, Pregoblin, Kae Tempest, Viagra Boys, Dry Cleaning, Psychedelic Porn Crumpets, Tune-Yards, Keg, M(h)aol, Grandma's house, the Murder Capital and the Saturday night comedy.
I'll definitely come back again.

Been really enjoying the Skinny Lister, Will Varley and Biffy Clyro albums this week.

I can't remember if anyone mentioned them before but I'm enjoying Langkamer's debut album. It came out a couple of weeks ago and recently saw them supporting Bull.

Sorry for the no reply, been on holiday.
Getting to and from Hasselt is dead quick and easy. We normally get the train up to the site which is every hour and cuts out having to go to the campsites which the bus does. The bus back is direct to Hasselt and takes about 15 minutes. As someone's said. The hostel behind the train station is really convenient, we've stayed there the last 5 times we've been and have booked again. Most of the other hotels are 5-10 minute walk from the station but are generally more expensive, but give a little bit more luxury and the chance to see some of the artists too.
Hasselts a great city as well. We enjoy the few beers in town beforehand just as much as we do the festival itself.
No worries at all. Hope you enjoyed your holiday. Yeah that sounds like a good plan, now I just need to speak to my festival going friends and see what we all collectively agree on.
Thanks for your help.
