  1. Travelling by coach so just vodka and a bottle of fireball for me. Buy a few cold ones when I'm there and the frozen margaritas.
  2. It's probably just my opinion, the venue isn't terrible it's just huge and the sound echoes a bit if it's not heavy on the bass. I saw Chic there, was in front of the mixing desk at the back of the room and could barely hear the vocals. I know they have a great soundsystem in there so that's not the problem. The toilets are shit though, portaloos only
  3. Thanks. Might not make it as far up as Pennards but Oxylers at the very least

We ended up selling our tickets for the Manchester gig but I'll be happy with a festival set that's hopefully missing some of the new ones
  5. I usually get off the coach at 5am, get my sleep on the coach so don't lose sleep that way. Think I might actually venture further than Darble this year though 😆 what time about was that photo took on Pennards?
  6. I know it would sell in seconds but them playing Albert Hall would be perfect
  7. Yeah it's not bad for WHP events but it still lacks a certain atmosphere since the room is so huge, the sound for bands isn't great either
  8. It's just a shame that out of all the venues in Manchester, the depot is one of the worst
  9. 5 days deep with covid so watched pretty much every Glasto vlog going on YouTube. Dug out the camping bits and gonna air out the tent. Dreading it cos it's been in the bag since Leeds fest last year, good job I can't smell anything 😷
  10. I got mine sent via email last year but checking now it looks like they sent two emails in the space of a month with two different types of tickets. Just checked my account now and the booking is there but showing as "0x weekend 1+weekend 2" 🤔
  11. Personally I think it's rank but everyone's got different tastes. If I were to take a rum that was easy to drink without a mixer I'd go Koko kanu if you like white rum heavy on the coconut and just take a bag of limes. Or old J cherry rum goes down well even when it's not ice cold
  12. Think The Killers was the only one I've seen but I was front and centre for that and the crowd was incredible. Best set of the weekend that year I think

I'm the same, got tickets to see her in Manchester but might sell since I'll probably see her at Primavera but honestly not bothered if I miss her either. I've barely gone back to Solar Power since the first listen, shame because the Melodrama tour was incredible
  14. First half I wasn't keen on but they kill the transitions every time. I pre-ordered the vinyl and there's only 7? tracks on the record but looks like the end of the first side will be a lengthy track. It's been so long could we rule out them putting out another release within the year?
  15. My coach usually gets in about 5/6am and we still didn't go any further than Darble in 2017. Looking at photos, our tents were up for 8:15. There's less of us this year so think we're gonna pack light and see if we can get a spot in park home or pennards

    2022 Must Sees

My two non negotiables are Phoebe Bridgers and Diana Ross. I've been lucky enough to have already seen most of the rest I want to see and the ones I haven't seen already I'll be catching at Primavera first. The lineup is still stacked for me, but as long as I see those two I'll be more than happy.
  17. Don't know if there's anything behind Phoebe Bridgers putting down both Fri and Sat for Glasto on her tour poster so I'm hoping for a Boy Genius set if Lucy and Julien are about.
  18. Same here. We've only paid two out of five and even though my name is printed on the email I had a panic that I paid someone elses 😆

    Car v Coach

The only downside to getting the coach for some would be the luggage limit but I've never had a problem with it. Queue from the coach line to getting your ticket is never too long either. Past couple of times my coach has been in by 6am Wednesday and I've had my tent up before 9am
  20. 2/5. A few not interested now, health reasons etc. Few more in the resale pot at least!
  21. To be fair their reason for not going is also health related but a Swifty appearance would've been the decider. The last one was their first glasto and I don't think they enjoyed it as much as the rest of us.
  22. One of our group is going on holiday instead and another was waiting to see if Taylor would be back on the lineup. Since that's not happening they're going away too. I reckon there will be a decent amount in the resale pot this year
  23. As a guide they say your backpack/bag etc. and your tent. A lot of people still turn up with trolleys packed full but they make them wait til all the regular luggage is on before trying to fit them in. Been held up a few times cos they've had to remove everything from the trolley to fit it all in. I usually take my bag, tent to go under the bus then another suitably sized coolbag with drinks etc. and put that under my seat
  24. I know the price of literally everything has gone up recently but the same coach journey I usually do has also gone up £20 since 2019. One of our group who's dropped out has decided to put their money towards a holiday abroad instead
