I just can’t imagine RAYE and her big band pitching up to end the day at a festival in front of a pissed up crowd. It’s not exactly crowd pleasing material, is it?

RAYE was 2nd stage headliner last year in Dundee. Escapism had already been a huge hit, the album had been out for 3 months. What has justified that leap to Main Stage headliner?

Slim to nil, to be honest. Foo Fighters you might be in with a chance of - but the Radio 1 Playlist is usually a good indicator of who might be booked.

Ned central. Honestly shocked by that. They’ve made their bed now. No coming back from the crowd this will attract. Not even made an attempt to be diverse across the 3 days. Surprised they’ve managed to secure a 16+ license for Calvin Harris. One of the conditions of him playing Bellahouston a few years ago was an 18+ license.

Doubt it, they had to turn to seat filling companies to fill their most recent show at The Hydro - and that was with The Fratellis supporting in their hometown.

Looks like we’ll be getting another Nile Rodgers appearance next year. Summer 2024 tour announced today with TRNSMT weekend free, being jointly promoted by DF Concerts but with no Scottish shows. Sophie Ellis-Bextor supporting, which could make for a fun early Main Stage slot.
