It on the whole has just felt like they have gone out of their way to get the cheapest line up possible, yesterdays moving of the line up (without letting on, of course) left a bit of a sour taste in my mouth tbh. Bumping the Belgian acts up to spots that could and should have been filled with more well known international bands will only hurt the festival in my opinion. Every stage is poorer this year compared to last year barring the main stage and that's debatable. There's enough to keep me going on the Thursday and Saturday and I know I'll have a good time regardless. May not come across but I'm really, really looking forward to it. It's just frustrating when a few choice additions could make this a belter of a year. Thoroughly expecting the remaining slots to be filled with similar below par cheap stuff. 26 days to go!

First time you've posted for a while. Hope you are well. Are you going to Pkp this year?

Even at this stage they should easily be able to get a half decent name to cover that spot. Plenty of potential names about. The question for them has to be is there anyone worth booking that is going to make a significant difference to the ticket sales at this stage and the answer is probably not. Clearly a money saving exercise to me. The cynical part of me thinks that there was never any intention to book someone for that spot in the first place. Pity as you say they've now wasted what could have been a good spot.

They've bumped J Bernardt up to the main from the Club. What a disappointment. Obviously weren't willing to open the wallet out for a more well known booking. Lowest selling Pukkelpop in years coming up I think.

They've rejigged the stage times and the bad news is we ain't getting a Sub headliner on Saturday. https://www.pukkelpop.be/en/line-up/saturday/schedule/

Makes sense if this indie disco thing is to work. People from the Marquee, Club and Lift stage are more likely to go into it if it's on the way out rather than having to walk through the dance area to get to it.

Yeah that'd be them out then. RW and Dour have now passed so who knows what they're waiting for. I'd imagine they'll want all of the last of the 'big' names to be announced altogether to sway anyone who's still half thinking of going. Can't be much longer now.

Yep, main ones being the Saturday sub, the main stage slot before NERD on the Friday and a big slot to fill in the Dance Hall on the same day. James Bay has got to be the favourite for the sub slot, otherwise it could be anyone really. These are on tour the same week as Pukkelop and are about the right size - Kaleo, Lykke Li, Franz Ferdinand, Lana Del Rey, Sum 41, Phoenix . I've put them in order of the likelihood of it being them (in my opinion) Could be someone who's not around of course (I'd be looking at Lorde if I was the organisers). Would be nice if the bookers show a bit of imagination, splash a bit of cash and give us a nice surprise (VW!) Still a slim chance Chic could do the spot before NERD. Can see Diplo & Mark Ronson or Gorgon City in the Dance Hall spot, unless Soulwax turn up again. So to summarise, expect Snow Patrol, Deus, Sigma and Chase and Fucking Status in the last lot of names.

I know there is, not sure you've been able to buy tickets for it though, I may be wrong though.

So the lift I'm guessing will be facing the main stage where the Wablief? stage is on the image below or where the Shelter is and the Club stage maybe moving back to where it was behind the Marquee? think it worked well a couple of years ago so people could move between the two very easily. The Castello was a lot better when it was next to the Petit Bazar too so hopefully will be put back there, or maybe where the lift was on the map above. Just noticed they're selling VIP tickets this year albeit through a third party for what I think is the first time this year. Hardly seems worth it for what you get tbh https://hospitality.be/events/pukkelpop-2018

Very jealous, it's a great festival, just not enough pull for me this year. May try and get some cheap tickets over the next couple of days.

We got straight on site at about 11 am on the Friday last year with no queues. And got off in equal speed on the Sunday afternoon. Opening on the Thursday should make it even easier a chunk of people will have already set up camp. Queues took about 25 mins to get in on the first day. Nothing at all for the rest of the weekend if you want to go back to the car etc.

Can't believe they've put Slowdive on at the same time as the Chems. what a waste.

Hard to gauge where that is with there being nothing in the field. I did read that they'd chopped the line of trees down that faced the main stage a few months ago, so they won't be there this year.

Bars are pretty decent. The bar I found to be the best was the one facing the main stage, close to the nebula stage.
