Had a look at the Super Bock lineup. As annoying as Nos have been for announcements it still pisses all over what Super Bock have. Cure Weezer Primal Scream and Chems are some of the best gigs I've ever been to. Having them all on one weekend is incredible.

Wouldn't really count on Metallica by any means..
I know but a boy can dream. Especially as it's ten years since I first saw them incidentally at Nos.

If they announce Metallica I will forgive their poor PR.

Omg keep us updated.
Im starting to think this could be the final lineup. Or pretty much so. Why would they hold back big names that would help sell tickets at this stage when most people have decided what festivals they’re attending by now?
They have seem my message and not replied.

Just sent them this on Facebook
'The lack of band announcements or a headliner two months before the festival is really aggravating your paying customers and I dread to think what day ticket sales are like for the Friday. But the worst part is the total lack of communication from your PR team to assure people that announcements are on the way. Drip feeding us one band every few weeks is just annoying everyone. Think hard about how you communicate with customers in the future'
Looking forward to the 'stay tuned' reply ?

It's quite possibly the worst PR I've ever seen. This year will be my first time at NOS (have committed fully to it with travel and tickets etc.) I got tickets when it was just The Cure, Chems etc last year.
So committed quite early on, however in my eyes at the time it seemed more than worth it as I had looked at previous line-ups and seen reviews and generally heard good stuff about the festival.
I know that every festival this year is a bit lack luster however like its been said there's no excuses for half a day to be still missing as well as countless other acts.
For people going to NOS for the first time it is extremely off putting at how poorly run it seems to be (based on their social media and lack of communication or acts) Surely they must understand that and know that it could potentially damage future sales as well as current sales.
I am just hoping that by July 14th I will be already planning to come again because it was amazing!
Don't worry yourself too much. I've been three times and always have an amazing time, even in 2017 when there was only one band I was excited about. Great atmosphere, easy to navigate between stages and much cheaper than most festivals.

Just listened to it. Definite summer vibes from this album. Very enjoyable

Shall we set up a wager that this will be another week with no announcements? It's getting extremely embarrassing now, particularly in the light of Mad Cool's mammoth announcement last week...
Yeah I don't know why I even bother checking the forum every day anymore. Festival is in less than 3 months and still no Friday headliner. Communication from the festival has been terrible.

No problem guys, the real Saturday headliner will play in the afternoon on second stage.
I D L E S
I've had a listen to them this week after seeing a few posts on here raving about them and I like what I hear. I'll definitely be watching.
-
To be honest I won't even care whats on mainstage at that point on Saturday, it's the third day, I'll be getting pissed with my mates waiting for SP and Chems.

Ok Nos all is forgiven. Primal Scream Weezer and Cure is a dream for me.

Oh man just seen! Tour dates are organised a bit weird and back to front on their website so thought the dream was on ?
Yeah they're one of the few bands that have eluded me over the years. Stars never seem to align.

Terrible addition. Got to agree that they’re a Sagres act. Scraping the barrel to put them on the main stage.
I said I wouldn’t be too worried about the lack of names till the end of March a while back. Well, here we are and that Friday is not looking good at all. The festival is still worth it for the other 2 days but if they don’t pull something out of the bag for the Friday I’d be half tempted to sack the day off and go for a night round Lisbon instead.
I’d rip your hand off for Stevie Wonder. Unfortunately I can’t see Nos going for him but that would be a fantastic headliner. Belle and Sebastian have just announced dates for early July. Get them on the Sagres on the Friday
Sadly Belle and Sebastian are playing America dates during Nos weekend.

Guys I have a good feeling that today... we will get no announcements

I bought my ticket week they went on sale as I've been stung with them selling out in the past, flight was booked last month, so I'm going regardless but one of the most fun parts of a festival is the anticipation and build up and theher doing a really poor job of that. Friday day ticket sales must be awful at the moment.

Are you the one that comment every fb post with Fyre gif? ?
No ha, I know who you mean though, think he's called Christian isn't he. It was funny the first time I saw it.
-
Somethings definitely not right with the festival. Three months since a major announcement. Half the main stage lineup and a headliner still missing less than 4 months out from the festival and stone wall silence from the social media team for weeks about announcements. It's turning into Fyre festival.
-
All the comments on their social media are getting angry and frustrated. Playing a really risky game.

Twenty One Pilots Playing tonight and tomorrow in Spain and Sunday in Portugal. Only one sold out from what I can see. Could they appear as an announcement early next week?
Please God no

Weezer are to me just a sad excuse of a band and that's putting it lightly - they're almost a joke to me.
That's legitimately the most ridiculous music opinion I've ever come across.

100% decided to attend the second and third day of this festival. Was originally wanting to go to the first one but its main stage acts turned out to be so "eh" that I'll stick with Thom Yorke and "you-can-never-go-wrong-with" IDLES. It'll be my third time seeing them!
'Eh' Are you high? The first day mainstage has The Cure and Weezer.

Whether it's sold out or not it's still a much better line-up than SBSR. I wouldn't get out of bed for SBSR nevermind fly to another country
