  1. Probably the best lineup they've had for 7-8 years, glad to see them getting back more to their roots. If I was ten years younger I'd probably go. There's 12-15 bands on there i'd go see which is about 12-15 more than the last 5 years.
  2. Thats amazing. My first show on the list was Garth Brooks in 94 as a child but my adult gigs started in 2002. Immediate goal is to hit 1000 within the next 4 years. If I keep up my current level of gig attendance i'll hit 2000 sometime between the ages of 55-60. I used a combination of gig tickets, festival posters, setlist.com and social media posts to compile my list. Took a lot of time but its great to be able to look back on and it jogs your memory so you don't forget the shows.
  3. 1. Limp Bizkit - Halifax Piece Hall 2. Prodigy - Leeds Arena 3. Depeche Mode - Twickenham Stadium 4. Blood Red Shoes - Manchester Star and Garter 5. Morrissey - Leeds Millenium Square 6. Pulp - Sheffield Arena 7. Iron Maiden - Leeds Arena 8. Lamb of God - Manchester Academy 9. Belle and Sebastian - Manchester Academy 10. Priest - Budapest Barba Negra For those of you struggling to remember what shows you went to... keep a list. I put an excel sheet together in 2020 for gigs I'd been to dating back to 2002. Currently on 732 individual sets and 424 bands seen at tender age of 38.
  4. Got my ticket this morning on the installment plan.
  5. I've seen Cribs 22 times, so count me in.
  6. I went every year from 04 to 12. Then for one day in 2015. If the festival hadn't strayed so far musically from what it was I would still happily go now aged 38 but the lineups hold no appeal for me anymore. I also attend a lot more gigs now than I did in my twenties so festivals aren't as much of a focus for me as they used to be.
  7. I went on cuffe and taylor website a few weeks ago and Weezer/SP was shown on a slide of bands where 5 out of 7 of them were already announced for Piece Hall.
  8. Yeah I held off on that one as I think they'll play. Its the same promoter so I think there's a really solid chance. But there's a big risk i'll be in Helsinki for Metallica at the time, i'm gonna be incredibly torn if that happens.
  9. Just got my tickets for Pixies to go alongside the Richard Ashcroft one. Hoping for Weezer and Smashing Pumpkins to get announced as well. These Piece Hall shows made the decision to move back to Halifax from Leeds this year after a forced eviction a much easier decision.
  10. I can't speak for pre 2005 Glastonburys but this is definitely the best headline set I've seen. Not sure it'll ever be topped.
  11. Hope Alex Turner is taking notes on how to entertain a crowd.
  12. Incredible he can keep up the pace on this setlist at his age.
  13. Drew and Sheamus would be proud.
  14. This is the most fun i've had sober at home in a while. Outstanding.

    2024 Headliners

Her ego is too big to play the legends slot, she wouldn't accept anything below headlining.
  16. Absolutely. It's inspirational to see people her age still going out and doing this. Debbie, Stones and Paul McCartney all showing 80 isnt as old as it used to be.
  17. I took it as self deprecating as he said he'll be watching it as well.
  18. Can't believe there's reviews that GNR was the worst ever headline set just 24 hours after Arctic Monkeys put the crowd and everyone at home to sleep. Sure Axl's voice could have been better but they rocked the stage and the crowd was having a blast.
  19. You ain't got to lie Glastonbury!
  20. People can forgive a bad voice, they can't forgive a lack of effort, energy and a poor setlist.
  21. I'm watching through to the end so I never forget to never watch them again.
  22. Taking calls for ten hours at work yesterday was less painful than sitting through this.
  23. Urgh, enough with this crooning nonsense.
  24. The only person enjoying this is Alex Turner.
